For the ones who requested an expedited process

Hello everyone,

 

My fiancé and I asked for an expedited K1 visa and have no idea what's going on.

 

Long story short, we sent the expedited request with our package (Dallas) in May. We received our NOA1 on the 11th of May but didn't know if our request was accepted or not and our case was sent in California. Few weeks later we called an agent who told us to sent directly an e-mail to the Californian Center. Ten days later, they answered us saying that it was the wrong e-mail because it was the first time we contacted them and it was only to " follow up ". In that case the agent we spoke to on the phone gave us wrong information so it delayed our request but... whatever.

We called again to finally be told that we could do it over the phone, which we did, and that we would have an aswer within 5 days. It's been now 12 days and we still haven't heard anything and when I check the status of my case nothing changed. I don't know what else to do at this point except calling them again but I feel like we should have had at least a notification on our status like most of people seem to have when they request an expedited process? At this point I just want to know if it had been denied or not. How did you find out if it was accepted or not? How long did it take for you?

When requesting an expedite you should recieve an email regarding the request with a "request or ticket number" usually asking for supporting documents, unless they have already made a decision and closed the expedite request. After which you will  recieve a NOA-2 soon, or it was denied and you will be processed as a "regular" petition, not an expedite.

Here are some news, we called USCIS and they told us that they sent a letter on July 1st requesting additional information on our expedite request. We have to fax everything and hopefully we will from them soon!

Im glad you heard something but normally that comes in an email. However, if a letter was mailed July 1 hopefully you have it soon.

Thank you! Yes, I don't know what happened and why we didn't receive an e-mail but I hope it's not a bad thing!

Im sure its not but it is easier and quicker via email. It provides you a special case number and a fax number to send it. Also with a code to send it Attention to... They also request you send that email correspondence with your response.

We already did it by e-mail and that's why they asked us to send it via fax. They gave us the number, the "Attention to " and a special case so I think we're good! We'll try to send everything today so that it's done as soon as possible

So we faxed the documents yesterday but now I'm wondering how we are going to know if it had been accepted or not. Would they send an e-mail? a mail? a fax?

They just asked for additional proof in link with our expedite criteria. But usually they sent a confirmation e-mail after the request and they didn't do it the first time (before they sent a mail to my fiancé's address in the States that we never received) and this time they didn't neither. It seems like everyone else had their case updated to say it was looked in but we don't have any update either by e-mail or via the uscis website

You wont recieve confirmation that they recieved it. I even called the 800 number and they said they don't have the updates as it is done at the service center. She said did your fax print a confirmation page, I said yes and then she said you should recieve something soon.

I got my email June 28. Faxed all the Documentation on July 5. Havent heard anything since. ☹️
