Ah great! It's always better to have too much than not enough :D

what part of the process are you in now at the NVC then exactly? Waiting for case complete ?

Which area in the states are you moving to??

I already got my CC, less than 8 weeks without any problems. :) Have our interview on August 2nd. Larnar, I was the first one to repond to you on the following forum. ;) Just realized that. We're moving to the DC area. Looks like you'll be in Colorado?

Yes!! you have basically without knowing become my immigration angel hahaha! ;)

ah amazing. I am hoping for the same. Just got some plastic files and labels to organize my aos/iv packages neatly and have our case number on everything. Then hoping for no checklist and a smooth less than 8 weeks ride to a CC as well!

DC sounds fun :) I can't wait to do some road trips and tick off several place on the map. Yes we will be in Colorado!

The NVC customer service advised me to put everything in one envelope, and specifically said to not separate things by dividers or folders.. So instead I just divided each section with a paper that listed the documents in that section. Yeah, i was freaked out about this as it was just one huge pile of paper.. There is someone that received a checklist because they had separated their AOS file from their IV documents...  NVC lost the AOS stuff, why? because they also didn't include a cover sheet in that folder..

Yeah, the UK is currently processing just under 8 weeks!! So hopefully they'll keep up with that or even speed up some.

Oh no way! I thought they would love divider haha - ok I'm glad I found this out. I'll try your method just with a label to make it slightly easier to view what's where. I've got both cover sheets with the barcodes etc printed :)

ahhh exciting! I feel so blessed to have Potomac AND uk embassy <3

no way! Boulder is exactly where I'm moving! Can see the mountains right from our balcony it's crazy beautiful !!

You're welcome and don't forget to include both document cover sheets!  The one with the "MUST INCLUDE" bit and the other with the checklist :) Good luck!

Having a real dumb moment now but where does one find the sheet that says "must include", I can't seem to find anything from NVC with that on it! We're getting ready to post our packet tomorrow so any advice will be greatly appreciated. The instructions in the welcome pack suggest that I only put the document cover sheet with the two barcodes on top of all documents im sending. Am I missing something? :bonk:

One cover sheet comes with the welcome email or letter and displays a checklist along with a bar code.  The other one you can print out from the ceac website - I forgot how you access it but I believe it's via the receipts section.

I don't quite recall the sections on the checklist but I do recall they flipped the order on the checklist page last year. To keep it simple, financial documents should be prepared by the USC sponsor to prove financial capacity to support the intending immigrant. Civil documents should be for the intending immigrant/ beneficiary to provide identity and background info.

hope that helps!

I sent my package off about 2 weeks ago and only included the one cover sheet that has the checklist on it which comes in the welcome email. There was no other cover sheet to attach. I was confused by that comment you quoted too. I literally only had one cover sheet that I could include.

They might have changed the process recently...not sure. I submitted all my stuff at the end of April but I know they've made changes to the ceac portal. As long as you have the scan code in there, should be fine.
