Hi Everyone,

Thank you in advance for reading my question.  I'm a US citizen, and my wife is a Canadian citizen.  On form I-130, it asks for the Beneficiary's Entry Info, I'm not sure what to put for the passport number and travel document number because the passport number from my wife's most recent I-94, has since expired.  She does have her renewed passport, but it has a different passport number.  Also, should I include copies of both the current and expired passports in the application?

Thank you!

This is how I interpret it.. If the form asks for ENTRY info, you must provide ENTRY info. If she never entered on her new passport then the old passport number is what they're asking for. If USCIS looks up her entry info online they won't get any info at all if she never used her new passport to enter the US, so you need to provide the old.

I believe you need to put in the passport number your wife used to enter the US. i-94 records go by the passport number. For my example, when I search for my arrival and departure records on the CBP website, my old passport reflects my entry and exits using that passport, and a separate record for entry/exit using my new passport. They don't put records of entry/exit under your name. So if they search under your wife's new passport, they will not get a record of her entry into the US.

Correction...I just tried searching CBP website again and looks like they integrated records from old and new passport already. Same search result records pull up for travel history if you type in new and old passport number. :)

But to be on the safe side, just put in the passport she used when she entered the US.
