focus always has to be on the side in power. trump is in power, so his actions are under the microscope. if hillary was prezident, she'd be under the microscope. hell, she's not president and trump wants the focus on her. wonder why?

It goes to what is legal vs illegal.  If this is illegal as many in the MDL are saying, then it is just as illegal for the loser of the election than it is for the winner.  To my knowledge, a candidate doesn't get a blanket pardon for illegal activity when they lose.

 

In my opinion neither side did anything wrong.  Political dirt can come from many sources, and this past election was definitely a lesson in down and dirty campaigning.

 ... why is this a legal standard thing?  Doesn't ethics and morality become apart of the discussion if you want to stay in power?

imo it's about more than political dirt. i'd really like to know how much money trump owes russia. i mean, i know he has no deals there. probably can't find it on a map he's so uninvolved..

What i do know for sure is that Cohen lied when he said he was not in touch with Russians,  Trump lied when he has nothing to do with Russia.we know that we have a pattern of rolling disclosures of meetings and money changing hands that only gets reported after the news media roots out the truth.  

 

The truth seems to be the rare commodity now a days. I dont know what games are being played or who us playing them but is so much BS going on with much of it being revealed by leaks inside the Whitehouse. 

 

The drama is tiresome, the President should man up and tell all staff and former associates....lay your Russia cards on the table now.  If something untoward happened, so be it. We will take our lumps and move on.  

 

Until Russia is behind us, the Whitehouse is hamstrung.

To my knowledge you can't be prosecuted for a lack of ethics unless it does deal with illegal activity.  If this is just an ethics thing, then get the impeachment procedures rolling, otherwise just wait until 2020 and maybe the DNC candidate (hopefully Hillary again) can run against the poor ethics.  If it is Hillary, then her ethics are fair game as well.

Of course they watched Hannity, I called this yesterday when the news broke, they were waiting for Carlson, The Five and Hannity to come out with an excuse or deflection to use to defend Trump Jr's actions. One thing these righties need to understand Trump is the President, not Hillary! Their complaints would be more legitimate if she was the President right now but she is not, Trump is. Maybe Kaine should go back and review the constitution before he starts hurling potential criminal accusations at a private citizen.
