Where are the DVDs in Brazilian Portuguese?

I am looking for DVDs in Portuguese for Fernanda. I cannot stop and translate all the good parts of every DVD! That takes all the momentum out of the movie! As long as it has sub-titles in English, I am OK. I looked at Blockbuster online, but I found only 20 DVDs of their estimated 60,000. There has to be some good DVDs in Portuguese with English sub-titles.

Any ideas?? HELP !!!

June 4, 2007 - Mailed AOS

June 6, 2007 - USCIS received

June 11, 2007 - NOA1 for I-485

July 18, 2007 - Biometrics completed

July 20, 2007 - Case transferred from MSC to CSC

July 31, 2007 - AOS Approved - 57 days - Without an Interview!

Aug 06, 2007 - Received Green Card in the mail today!

Jan 8, 2009 @ 8:18PM - Our son was born tonight !!

I-751 - Remove Conditions

July 11, 2009 - Certified Mail to VSC I-751 Package

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !

Check Amazon.com. I was looking for Chilean movies in Spanish and I found lots of those. The downside is that you have to buy each movie. I hope this helps.

Funny enough, there are a lot of DVDs with Portugese subtitles. I never would have guessed but Eliton and I found a bunch. Even "A few good men" can be found dubbed in Portuguese.

Eliton is lucky because he loves action movies and there is little dialogue, so he is content watching them in English.

Action movies...little dialogue. Sounds familiar.

I would be a happy woman if I never had to see Blood Sport again, either in English or dubbed in Spanish.

NetFlix has a few. More than blockbuster or Hollywood video which has about zero.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

Bora Bora: you just gave me flashbacks to that one horrid night when there was a Rocky marathon on TV. I tried to doze off or read, but he wanted me to watch it with him.

He also likes to relive the good parts by repeating the dialogue to me. And then he tries to get me to help him replay the fight scenes. Unfortunately I bruise easily so I think people wonder if I'm abused.

Oh, lord, I miss him.

Ah Gabacha,

I know how it is to miss someone so much .... soon you'll be with him again.

Eliton doesn't talk much during the movie, he only says 'amor, look here' once in awhile, but usually it's just him and the movie. He prefers action more than violence.

I think it's cute. He learns SO MUCH from the TV.

Joey and BoraBora, I'd actually try getting them to start watching movies in English with English subtitles, they'll start picking up English a lot faster, since for brazilians, sometimes seeing the word written brings a new understanding, since people sometimes know the words, but are not familiar with the pronounciation and speed of the dialogues.

My husband watches movies in English 99% of the time. He only has one movie that is dubbed and he's only seen it once.

But there are movies out there w/ subtitles - my hubby doesn't care much for Brazilian movies - never has.

Funny that you made that comment, Luis&Laura...just yesterday my husband said to me, "I think I'm ready to watch movies in English if we put the subtitles on in English too!"

We rent tons of movies and typically watch them in English with English subtitles for my husband. On the rare occasion, though, we rent one that we didn't know is dubbed in Portuguese and he is so excited to make me watch it in Portuguese.

Most recently-Beverly Hills Ninja.

One of the national Lampoon's movies is also dubbed. The ones I have found seem to be from the late 80's/early 90's. I have tried to find books in Portuguese and Brazilian concert DVD's on Amazon and never have much luck.

My husband is trying hard to stay away from Portuguese. I'm the only one interested in this...hehehe

They're in Brazil!!! I don't speak portuguese, and when me and my husband would rent movies all the time when I was visiting in brazil, EVERY new movie had english subtitles....
