HELLO VJERS!

This August 1st, we will move to a new apartment, in the same county, same city, same state. I am currently in my 105 days of waiting for my i485, i765, i131 applications. Biometrics done 5-5-2017, No RFE/RFIE yet, sent an SR for my EAD on my 91st day but still "under review" status.

1.Will this delay my application?

2. Should i file the change of address online, by mail or phone?

3.Is it true that uscis doesn't allow usps to forward uscis mails?

Any response is highly appreciated!

Hey.. we changed our address too, around a month after sending out the RFIE response. It didn't delay my application.

yes usps doesn't forward USCIS' mail. It has an annotation that return service requested.

And I changed address online for I-485 and EAD.  For i-130 you have to call them. If your spouse is your partner you have to mail the form 'change of sponsors address' I think it's I-865

It's important that you also change it on your and your spouse state ID/drivers license. The IO paid a lot of attention to matching addresses at the interview :) and also make sure that you know how you changed the addresses because IO asked me that (AR-11 online for I-485 and EAD, I-865 mailed, I-130 called)

Hi! Thank you for your response! How did you know that it (change of address) didn't delay your application? Did they already send you anything in your new address?

My AOS process was altogether surprisingly fast as most of January fillers still wait for an interview date :( it's definitely worth the risk though. I used that app Case Tracker and you can see cases with receipt numbers around yours and I saw like dozens of 'mailing was returned to USCIS undeliverable' and it made me anxious thinking that I would have to call numerous tier 2 officers explaining what happened why haven't I changed the address etc and ask for resending the mails.

after the change of address I got the change of address confirmation letters from USCIS in mail (they look exactly like service request response)  around 1 week after the request and you get one for every form changed so in my case I got 4 : I-485,I-130,EAD,I-864 because I didn't apply for AP

You should start hearing from them soon :)  and if you feel anxious don't be afraid to call tier 2 and don't stress about the whole AOS process too much it doesn't help and down the line everything ends up good :)

I have just chased USCIS as I put in my change of address on 17th December, emailing the AR form, and got the automated response the same day saying I should hear by 29th December. Yesterday I received (via the auto-forwarding service we placed with USPS) notification of my interview. The letter was dated 20th December.

When I spoke with them today all they could do (they said) is to put in a service request to get it changed and that it will take 15-20 days to hear back. Last time I put in a service request, no one got back to me but the issue I was requesting an update on progressed to the next stage anyway.

Others on here have posted that if the address doesn't match the one on our respective driving licenses, (it doesn't as we only moved in mid-December and spent Christmas with my family in England) that may be an issue. I also have not specifically requested a change of address for my husband. Do I need to do this as well?

Couldn't you have changed your address online for all your forms? Why did you choose a different way for I-865 and I-30?

Hey!

Back then there was no option to choose to change address of I-130 and I-865 online. I had to call to change it on I-130 and mail in the sponsors change of address (separate form,I-865). I remember that the I-130 wasn’t even on the list online
