Hello VJ community,

I am in process of preparing for the I-751 form -- to remove condition on my permanent residency. Quick background info, I came on a K1 visa, got married, and got my for 2 year permanent residency. When I applied for my permanent residency, on the application forms I gave the address of my wife's parents as thats our main mailing address for important documents. Since the time I have entered US and got married, I and my wife till present have been staying at a different place.

The address on our drivers license is still pointing to her parents address. However, we leased a new car few months back and updated our addresses for our DL online but not on our DL card. I have a confirmation for both of us.

Questions:

1) In the application form, Under Part 1, Q 22: Have you resided at any other address since you became a PR? After marriage, we have always stayed at our own place.  What should i say? Should I enter her parents address as mailing address and our address as physical address? Will there be problem?

2) If we submit the copy of our DL which has my wifes parents address along with the copy of changed address from NJ DMV, will there be any issue?

2) I have the utility bills for last one year which has both our names on it. Prior to that it only has my wifes old name (last name) and our current address. We also have joint accounts and credit cards with both of names and current address. What other documents should I submit with my application for the first one year?

Below are the documents I am planning to submit:

Application form + Check + Cover Letter

  • Check of $680
  • Cover Letter
  • Original Application Form
  • Copy of Marriage Certificate
  • Copies of the passports and green cards of me and jyoti
  • Sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

  • Copy of change of address by NJ DMV showing current address (changed four months ago)
  • Copy of Newport Lease agreement showing joint names from 2016 - 2017 + my wifes name for 2015-2016
  • Copy of Tmobile, verizon and ps&g bill showing current address since 2015 and joint names for last one year

Baby

  • Copy of baby's ultrasound and letter from the doctor

Photos

  • Birthday photos, friends, family, and vacation

Bank Statements

  • Copy of our joint bank accounts statements one for every month
  • Copy of our joint credit cards showing current address and both our names

Taxes

  • Copy of the tax statement for 2015 and 2016 - requested from IRS

Cars

  • Copies of car statements showing joint ownership
  • Copy of car insurance showing joint name

Insurance

  • Copy of home renters insurance showing joint names and current address
  • 401k beneficiary
  • health insurance with both our names
  • Copy of my investment account showing wife as beneficiary

  • Copy of our vacations from 2015 - present

Please let me know if I am missing anything. Thanks in advance!!

Regards,

P
