I went in around 2:55pm and gave the lady sitting at the guard's desk my appointment letter. I asked if I could do it today, she said yes and asked for my GC. She proceeded to stamp my letter and gave me a basic form to fill. After I filled out the form, I gave it to another lady at the reception desk who gave me a token. When my number was called, I was escorted to a booth where they took my photograph and fingerprints. They gave me back my letter and I was done. The experience was exactly like the one I had during my I-751 biometrics.

Ugh....I hate waiting for anything!  If i ran the world, I'd put a 3-month time limit on naturalization applications....but I don't think I'll be running the world anytime soon.

The ASC they schedule you at isn't the obligatory one you have to go to.  They just list the closet one to your location for convenience.

You can get your biometrics done anywhere.

@Maridiego and @lover5... I'm in NY as well, was curious whether either of you got your FP appointment letter yet?  Just trying to get a feel for how far away my appointment might be scheduled for---because I know NY tends to move the slowest in terms of processing applicants...

I didn't received the fp letter yet and by internet day the same just received the case and u what's ur date of sent

I e-filed my application on July 14th...actually just saw my case status updated this morning...they mailed out the biometrics letter today.

Is your FO Queens or Manhattan?  Even though they are located in the same building at Federal Plaza, I've read that Queens is only slightly faster because they have a bit of a smaller case load.  Don't know if it really makes a difference---if it does. it can't be that much more than a week or two between the two offices.

 

I also don't know if because I filed online as opposed to mailing the paper application makes much of a difference either?

Is your FO Queens or Manhattan?  Even though they are located in the same building at Federal Plaza, I've read that Queens is only slightly faster because they have a bit of a smaller case load.  Don't know if it really makes a difference---if it does. it can't be that much more than a week or two between the two offices.

 

I also don't know if because I filed online as opposed to mailing the paper application makes much of a difference either?
