Thanks @Going through and @peachlings. I did sign up for email and text notifications, but nothing received...  Crossing my fingers hoping they'll text me and surprise me the next minute.

You could always call the service center and request to speak to an L2 officer...don't ask him/her if your biometrics has been completed, as him/her if you are "in line for an interview".

On average, I've heard it normally takes around 30 days to be online after doing the biometrics.  Depends on the field office though too, and how long  your background check may take depends on variable factors.

I was a paper filer in early July, and my "in line" status was updated on 8/28.

I filed paper and got a notice about being In-Line. I signed up for notifications, and my status changed as well. I'm sure it varies though.

They work in a mysterious manner I must say. I filled paper and also fill out form for text plus email notification but so far I haven't receive notification that way. I check online instead. This link: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

@bountyhunter - As stated by @Going through, they run background checks on any name possibly attached to your identity. If your name is deemed *important* - like mine, the background check will take time. I am in the same boat as my fingerprinting was done on 08/11 and the last update was on 08/15 but still it shows "biometrics completed". 

Houston office flooding is a concern so lets hope for the best! Origin does make a HUGE difference so all i would say is just don't get anxious and just prepare yourself that this will take time. Anything before, is a bonus. I won't say I am not anxious but i have put this on the back burner :).

Hi @Going through - did your online account get updated as of 09/01? I am wondering if an IO actually looked at my account on that day or if the estimated case completion time was updated for everyone as we go into a new month (i.e. 9 months instead of 10 months)

Nope.  My last update still shows the date my interview appointment letter was mailed out in August.  

My interview is later this month and it shows my  "estimated case completion" time as July 2018 (it was originally January 2018).

The notice date for the scheduling was dated 8/15, then I checked today and saw a new notice for the descheduling that was dated 8/16. It didn't show up till today. No word as to when they will reschedule my interview... The website still shows that my interview is on, despite the notice. Real gutted. 😭

Yours was so quick! I wish I filed mine online.
