Because I think that's just a default in-line statement and then it depends on which field office you are and how busy they are. I saw people got their status and then waited for 5 6 months to actually get their interview scheduled.

Ah...but it is accurate in that you are in-line to be scheduled.  I have a feeling you will receive the actual interview date sooner than you think.

Hi all, I haven't posted much since my biometrics because I haven't had any updates after it (Jul 21). My status still reads "USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice" on my online account and "Biometrics Appointment Was Scheduled" on egov.uscis.gov/casestatus 😓 Process has been slow for me but hopefully we will all get our cases approved soon!

Same with case, too. I called about that and they told me it's usual case to display that status until they schedule appoiment . Finger cross for you and me!

Hi everyone. My PHL passport is expiring on October. Given the circumstance, my interview and/or oath taking might fall on the time I will have an expired one. My concern is:

 

Do I need to renew my passport or will the expired passport(in case my interview/oath taking will be in October) do?

Hey it is recommended to u get ur passport renewed as it is must be valid at the time of interview. U will need this and ur green card both of which must be valid. Otherwise it raise unnecessary questions

This is not accurate.

An expired passport is fine to show at the interview---they are looking only at travel stamps, not the validity of the passport.  An expired green card is also fine (so long as it was valid BEFORE the date your application was filed), as sometimes GC's expire by the time the interview rolls around.

 

There is no requirement for foreign passports to be up to date, and an expired green card does not change your legal status.

Thank you for this information. I personally prefer not to renew it because it takes 2-3 weeks at the very least and I don't want to be in a situation where I dont have a passport on hand in time for the interview or delay the remaining process for a passport I will have to surrender anyway.
