As long as the fax has a barcode for them to scan on it, you're fine.   It's basically like using a printed PDF letter like some others do.  The IO printed it out on his computer, instead of you doing it (if it were uploaded on yours).

Thanks @Going through - it looks just like the usual notice letter, just not as "crisp" looking because it was faxed.  I am surprised that I am being re-scheduled this quick (the original appointment was for 8/11 and I obviously couldn't make it to that one).  Thanks!

hey guys! hubby had fp today. They wouldn't let me go in with him, so I waited in the car and timed it. In and out in 10 minutes. He said he was the only one there lol. We go to Greer SC office so it's fairly small anyways. They gave him the civics booklet to study :) can't wait til I can report back and say we're In line!

Yes that is the inline message.  Told ya it might move quick...now check the other account.

@Bsze moved into "inline" only 1 day after her biometrics, too.  @kumamon and @vkhutchings  and @Settitook only 2 days.

the other site says "case is being reviewed by uscis" and nothing left to do. Well, I guess I should update the tracker :dance:

He JUST did bios today!!! Is this the "in line" message?

I saw this happened to other applicant in August 2017 as well. Mine changed to that after 5 6 day. In https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do, my status still shows biometrics scheduled. I am just hoping this is not some default thing after background is cleared and interview actually scheduled a year later lol.^_^

Conditional GC expired : 10/18/16

 

I751 journey - CSC

09/12/16 : package received

10/11/16: Biometrics

07/28/17: I551 stamp on passport expired 07/27/18

10/25/17: Combined interview N 400 and I 751. I751 approved on the spot. Read the I 751 interview Here.

07/26/17 : applied online, got NOA online, CC charged

07/28/17 : biometrics scheduled online

08/01/17: NOA received on the mail

08/02/17 : biometrics online PDF posted

08/05/17 : biometrics letter received on the mail

08/15/17 : biometrics done

08/19/17 : Online MYUSCIS and ELLIS posted interview scheduled and will mail interview letter

09/20/17: received text messages and emails that interview has been scheduled

09/22/17: Interview PDF posted online on MYUSCIS

09/27/17: Interview Letter received on the mail

10/25/17: Interview Date...Passed the test and case recommended for approval . Read the N400 and I 751 interview here.

From my experience, and a couple of others in this thread...there are two online changes after biometrics.

The first one is "USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice." ---means you are inline for interview.

The second one (normally a few days to a week later) is "USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment please read the letter we mailed you"---that's when your appointment date has been scheduled and an actual paper letter is on it's way to you. (usually when the PDF of the letter is uploaded too)

 

Keep in mind that sometimes not BOTH websites will show the same message, or just one website updated.  

One of my accounts uploaded with both messages on the same day (see my signature timeline below).

July 14, 2017 (Day 00) -  Submitted N400 Application, filed online

July 21, 2017 (Day 07) -  NOA Receipt received in the mail

July 25, 2017 (Day 11) - Biometrics PDF posted online

July 28, 2017 (Day 14) - Biometrics letter received in the mail, appointment for 08/08/17

Aug 08, 2017 (Day 24) - Biometrics (fingerprinting) completed

Aug 14, 2017 (Day 30) - Online EGOV status shows "Interview Scheduled, will mail appointment letter"

Aug 16, 2017 (Day 32) - Online MYUSCIS status shows "Interview Scheduled, read the letter we mailed you..."

Aug 17, 2017 (Day 33) - Interview Appointment Letter PDF posted online---GOT AN INTERVIEW DATE!!!

Aug 21, 2017 (Day 37) - Interview Appointment Letter received in the mail, appointment for 09/27/17

Sep. 27, 2017 (Day 74) - Naturalization Interview--- read my experience here

Sep. 27, 2017 (Day 74) - Online MYUSCIS status shows "Oath Ceremony Notice mailed"

Sep. 28, 2017 (Day 75) - Oath Ceremony Letter PDF posted online--Ceremony for 10/19/17

There are also some people, paper filers like me, who only got one status on the USCIS website since filing their N400: "Case Was Received", even after doing biometrics, etc :mellow: I read on earlier threads that some people never got an update beyond Case Was Received until they had their interview scheduled!
