N-400 July 2017 Filers

Hi Everyone

 

I had my biometrics done in early August, and aside from checking the USCIS Service Center processing times, do we get any other notification from USCIS regarding our N-400 case status? I haven't received any documentation or updates since the biometrics, so I am curious - is it just a waiting game?

Yep, mentioned it a few pages back in this thread, and it's in the tracker too.  September 27th at the Federal Plaza building, but on the Queens Office floor, since I filed from Queens.

 

@vkhutchings also has her interview on the same date, same place (she filed from Queens as well).

Sorry I think I am not doing a good job catching up with all your posts  Congratulations! So the whole process from the day you submitted your application until your interview's date is only around 2 and a half months. This is so amazingly fast. All the best with your interview, and I look forward to hear your feedback after the interview.

The Queens office seems to move slightly quicker than the NY office---because it's two separate caseloads.  I hear the NY office is very bogged down right now. When are you planning on filing?

Oh no! I'm planning to file on September 2. The NYC office has the jurisdiction over the area I reside i.e. Manhattan. I really hope my application will take your timeline.

  If you meant download button for PDFs posted by USCIS, you would find those in your USCIS/ELIS online account next to the title of the notice posted, or by clicking on the title of the notice and then a PDF would open.

thanks for the reply , im not a computer person what so ever lol i only have the you sent the bla bla and we will tell you how it be handled i never got a update on bio appt we had that done on the 9th and still no update ...

Did you file online or paper application?  For paper applications  it's my understanding that you won't receive updates re: biometrics.

you can try to make an account on the ELIS site and see if it will allow you to view anything once you plug in your existing case number (n400 receipt number)--worth a shot.
