That's my guess that the N-400 instructions are outdated (or it's a typo)!  :oops:  That tells us how thorough USCIS is!  :wow:

Oh my goodness, I'm just catching up on the last few pages of this thread - was super excited about online filers being able to see these estimated timelines but I can't find it anywhere when I login to check?! I was thinking it was because my biometrics haven't been taken yet... but you can see it @ARDallas? Maybe I'm just over-tired and looking in the wrong places! Can you be more specific where you're seeing the estimate? I'm looking on this page:

They are so out of whack right now and changing daily due to a glitch it seems---it may actually depress you to see it lol

Go to the website and click on where it says "view case activity"---the big blue button like this one:

Yep...there has to be sort of method to this madness. After my biometrics today, my completion timeline changed from April 2018 to October 2018 😐. Go figure!

Oh no! That can't be right. Ok, so these must not be accurate?

 

I finally found mine - turns out I was viewing an old version of the site and needed to click a banner at the top that said something like "Try the new site experience". Depressingly, it's saying August 2018 - I had my hopes up that I'd show January/February like you @Going through because I'm also filing in Queens. :(

 

Also, I got an email from them this morning titled "Your case is still being reviewed" which basically says inside "There are no updates at this time". It's like they saw I was checking up on them and were like - Oh, here's one of those Visajourney crazies, better send her an email to say don't bother checking right now. :lol:

I got one of those emails too last week or so.  At least they are communicating with me instead of me being lost in the shuffle, so that's a good thing, in any case, even if it is an auto-email.

Fellow July members,

You all looking way too much into those case estimates in the account and getting stressed. Those are not accurate. 

Please refer to trackitt site for example and you will see people who have their oath scheduled in a couple weeks..... even their estimates showing a few months still.  

 

So relax and enjoy the weekend :)
