N-400 July 2017 Filers

Just checked mine. Estimated time till interview is 5 months, estimated completion is February 2018.

Just checked mine this morning (did my biometrics yesterday) it says estimated wait time until interview is 5 months...I'm ok with that.

Why the sad face??  If you think about how many applications they receive every month, and the backlog that alone causes, 4 months before interview scheduling is pretty good, imo.  Of course, we all know how hard it is to wait ...take those 4 months and go on vacation somewhere if you can before your GC expires

@SamBillz Hi there, I saw your office is in Houston. Did you get the estimated completion date on your online account? I heard Texas office is one of the busiest and slowest in the country. My estimated is in 8 months - April 2018.

Sam, I don't think it's going to show until you have completed your biometrics.

@Going through I haven't done my bio yet but it shows on my profile (just the estimated completion time, not the interview one). I just want to compared between Dallas and Houston processing time.

@Going through - Thats what i was thinking last night when i checked and posted on VJ. But, ARDallas got an update regarding the timeline and the biometrics is scheduled for 8/15.

I didn't get an email or text. I checked my online account right after my biometrics and it had updated to "USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice". I did some research on VJ and found that most online filers never got a proper "in line for interview" notification. They went from the above status to "interview scheduled" where they got the interview letter mailed to them. So the consensus is that that status is basically our version of "in line for interview".

guessing you have to have your biometrics first to see this. I just logged in and mine still just shows the estimated completion time, not estimated wait time until interview.

Turns out a couple of people who haven't had their biometrics yet are seeing the wait time until interview as well.
