It can take a couple of days for the online update to show in your account.  You will always get the paper notices even if the online status doesn't change, so don't worry if you never see the online ones.  Although it's nice to see them too!

 

You filed in August, right?  I'm sure in the next week or so you'll have other filers to compare info with on the August thread and get a better idea of expected lag/wait times for things...best of luck with your filing

Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.

My fingerprint appointment is posted online today! FP date 8/15/17-13 more days! Also, finally got my NOA in the mail yesterday .

Hi, My husband is in the process of applying for his citizenship. We thought of submitting it online and came across couple of clarifications. When we were doing the eligibility test online, they first ask if one or both parents are US citizens (they are naturalized US citizens). When we give a yes, it says you are a US citizen, if we give a no, it will go to the other eligibility questions. Once we go through those questions, we come across another question "Have you moved in the past 3 months?". What does this question mean? Does it mean out of US or within US? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks

They are asking about moving in the past 3 months within the US (like moving from one city/state to another city/state.

Hi guys,

 

I received my Biometric letter, it is scheduled for August 11th ...  ... 

Why long face you ask (instead of jumping out of joy?) because I am still out of the country and won't be able to make it. I had asked a good friend to mail-in biometric appointment request to the address listed (BPU in Alexandria, VA). So now I guess I'm waiting again to get my new biometric appointment letter. Anyways, I thought I'd update you all here, you have been so helpful!

 

Now, does anyone know what kind of delay I'm getting myself into here by re-scheduling biometric appointment? I know it all depends on the local ASC office availability (mine is Philadelphia PA). But I'm just curious if anyone had any experience with rescheduling biometric or have heard someone else going thru this same issue?

There will be a delay---how long is anybody's guess...I've seen people say they were rescheduled a few weeks later, although I think the average is at least 2 months later.  And yes it depends on the field office too and how backlogged they already are with first-come-first-serve for fingerprinting appointments.

 

It's good you have already requested to reschedule it---just an idea, don't know if it will work---when you get the new appointment letter (and are back in the country) try to do a walk in.  Another idea...and it's a long-shot...try to schedule an infopass for as soon as you get back in the country and beg them to print out a new appointment letter/schedule you for fingerprinting that day in the same building.

Thanks @Going through! I'm definitely going to try your ideas!!! I suppose I'm not in a rush, 10yr GC is still good until 2023, a couple month delay is do-able ... hopefully that is it, a few months delay!

Can someone add me to the list? I'm a little bit confused as to how this works. Anyway, I recieved my Biometrics appointment today scheduled for 8/18/17. Is it even worth trying to do a walk-in? Maybe i'm just being unreasonably impatient.
