Filing date (date sent in to USCIS),

Payment cashed date,

NOA date

I've decided not to do a walk in.  Between when I got the appointment letter in the mail and the biometrics date was only 10 days, so it wasn't a huge advantage to me to do a walk in.  If they had scheduled my appointment a month away from getting the letter, then yeah, I would have walked in.

 

My appointment date is only 7 days away, I think I'll survive the wait

Do you know if it's possible to do an infopass appointment for biometrics? The appointment confirmation letter, of course, hasn't arrived yet, but I'm visiting home in a couple weeks and I doubt appointment will be prior to that.

You need to wait until the actual letter arrives in the mail, or use the PDF printout of the letter online.  They cannot process your biometrics without the barcode on the letter.  You can always try an early walk in as soon as you get an appointment letter.

 

You could try to schedule an infopass to see if they would be willing to print out a biometrics letter for you right then and there---however it can take up to a couple of weeks to even schedule the infopass itself depending on when their appointments open up.

Thank you for the info! 

I currently have an InfoPass for the 15th, which I hope gives enough time to receive the biometrics appointment request. I'm not going out of town for an extended period, just two-three weeks, but I guarantee the appointment will be set for the middle of the trip.

out of curiosity - well, mostly. How do the people that file online create their USCIS online account? The verification of identity requires A# and DOS case id. I never seen any DOS case id on any of my letters that I received. Anyone have insight here?

Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.

Hello, I saw this message in USCIS online "Your benefit request has been accepted and is under review." what is that mean? and in online tracking tool its showing "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed ". Please advise me here submitted yesterday and still not see the NOA  at 'Recent Notices'.

The message simply means that your application is in the process mode. Expect some delays in regards to the attachment under 'Recent Notices'. Most of us have had similar issues. Wait for a couple of days and you should see a document uploaded.
