My suggestion would be to wait another few days to apply again in case through some miracle it does get there---As for if you have to file again--- online or mail is your choice---but cancel the check sent with the first one so that it can't be cashed in case it does show up after you submit the 2nd application.

The officer didn't even know where it get lost. He asked me to resend again because he had no idea how long would it take for them to trace the mail back and deliver to uscis. I didn't send the check. I used the credit card form.

Now I don't know if I should wait for another week to submit again just in case like you said some miracles happen. So I guess I'll be at August threat.

Can you phone the bank and ask if there's a pending payment/debit? Might give you a sign if they actually did receive it and USPS just didn't scan it as delivered?

My husband said the uscis didn't charge us yet. He can receives alert if the credit card charged more than certain amount. The officer confirmed that's impossible the system hadn't update yet. The system will updates right away usually. He printed out the form from his computer and it stated it lost at somewhere else but not Chicago

i really don't know if I am going any faster because this kind of status message is pretty common for online filers. It technically just means that the file has been sent to the field office (based on my research). I don't know if it can even qualify as a "In line for interview". Oh well. My original biometrics date was 07/28.

I'm so sorry this is happening I really do hope the people at the post office can at least track your package back to you so that your sensitive info doesn't get misplaced.

Although you did receive the case status update before the original biometrics date...so about a week faster (at least) then you would have if you'd completed the biometrics tomorrow? Think positive! (I know, I'm one to talk with all my worries I've shared with you before...)

Legend:
GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.
