This may be a stupid question but I am a south west illinois resident and so far all of my biometrics and immigration associated interviews etc... have been carried out at the St. Louis field office which is only 25 miles from our house.  I am aware of at least one case where biometrics were performed in St. Louis but the subsequent interview was scheduled in Chicago ?  Is this common ?  Should I be looking at the Chicago N-400 processing times ad not the St. Louis field office processing times ? I'm a little confused.  FYI... I sent off my N-400 in December of 2016, had biometrics in January of 2017 and since then, Nothing !!

Hmm I can't say about processing locations because I don't know anything about that but you should call the support number and see what's going on, what does it say when you check your case online? Do you have a record which could be slowing down your process? Also from what I read is that it can take longer if you have a common name (not sure if true)

My online case status hasn't been updated since they stated my biometrics appointment notice had been mailed out.  I attended my biometrics appointment on January 24th and since then, no further updates.  I had an infopass appointment in St. Louis last Thursday and they basically said everything was still in process and that I should be forwarded for scheduling soon.  However, she said that the scheduling process can take several months.  I have nothing complicating my case (that I am aware of) No past police records or issues.  I've been married to my USC wife for 12 years since moving to the US on a K-1 Visa so would assume my case would be pretty straight forward. Getting a little antsy, especially now I'm reading of people who are also being processed through St. Louis who applied 4 months after me and already have interviews scheduled.

I'm sure you would know if you had a police record so you're good there :)

in sorry to hear about the delay. My green card expires in May 2018 so I hope it goes through soon. I feel like if they told you that everything is on track that you should believe it. Hope you get in soon!
