Hi Vj members,

Again asking your help, my visa got  Approved and was put on "Issued" status last July 3,2017. Any idea how long can i recieve my visa packet? We already got a ticket and we are flying on July 28. As per checking on passport status still invalid. By the way I'm from Dipolog City (Mindanao). Anybody here got a recent experience from 2go?

I don't have any recent experience but nobody can say with any certainty to when you will have. I would say your close but USEM recommends that you not buy your ticket until you have visa in your hands.

As Greenbaum said we do not have any recent experience. But I can tell you my asawa's experience when her visa was approved and she lives in Mindanao as well. It can take anywhere from 5-10 days for you to receive your packet from 2go if not alittle longer. It all depends on how often 2go goes to city or if they have a office in your city. If they do not have a office in your city they have to wait a few days before they have enough packages going that way to make it worth while to make the trip. My asawa did not want to wait and actually called them to see if she could just go and pick it up at the main office, and that's what she did and it saved a couple days of waiting.

Also have you done the CFO process yet? Where is your fiance from? If it's Los Angeles then that's good for you because there are a large number of Pinoys here in the LA area. We have lived here about 4 years na and my asawa finally has a little group of Filipina friends to talk to and us hang out with, the majority of them are Bisaya as well so it's great.

That is good then because it shouldn't take that long until you have it. My asawa is from Compostela Valley Province and the nearest 2go is in the next province over so it takes some time for them to decide it's worthwhile to send a delivery driver that way.

LA and SoCal in general is really good for Filipinos because if you are home sick you can just go down the street to a Filipino store or restaurant, so it's really nice. Just like yesterday my wife had a craving for Chowking, so went to Glendale and got some Chowking for lunch. While we were there we saw some Bisaya friends of ours at Jollibee so it is a community here which is good.

My asawa got hers in about a week honestly, it would have been longer if she waited until they had a driver go up her way. So she just took the bus down to Tagum City and got it instead of waiting.

LA is hot right now I have to warn you, but at least here we have AC so it's ok. But we do have the wonderful beautiful beaches.

"... already got our tickets, we are flying out July 28th."   Maybe.

Hopefully your plans work out.

What do you mean hank?

A bit worried though...today is the 5th day since my visa got issued and as per embassy, "Barring unforeseen problems, the visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by courier service within 7-10 working days from the visa issuance date". I'm holding on to that qoute from them though...

Always unknowns with the visa process, which is why the embassy warns against arranging travel.

DO make sure once you receive your passport with visa to proof read the visa, verify you name and all pertinent info is correct.

Not sure how the scheduling is with CFO lately, do you have an appointment booked or waiting for the visa to arrive?

There is CFO info from the link in my signature.

K-1 fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse  can attend GCP seminar at CFO anytime... all others must attend PDOS and need to wait until visa is in hand.

I had my interview on 3 July 2017 and when I went home and check my visa status at CEAC, it was listed as ISSUED.   According to CEAC, the case was updated again on 7 July 2017.  I'm not sure what was updated.

I checked ustraveldocs today as well as used my uid number on 2go etrace site, my visa packet is in transit.  Im in QC.  So far, no delivery received yet.
