Hi, im from Philippines but im staying & working here in Dubai. so my question is,  is it still valid my NBI will be expired by Feb. 2018? probably i can use it by this coming October 2017. Could anyone here can help me? your answer means alot to me.

NBI clearances are valid for 1 year so as long as it is still valid by the time you use it, then you should be good.

No, I haven't been interviewed yet because I am still waiting for the elusive packet 3. I am very confused at this time whether there really is packet 3 or should I just go ahead without it. =(

sorry for the late reply, just saw this. my fiance has not received anything until now so we have been waiting for almost a month for it (since june 28). i emailed the embassy but just got an auto reply (which did not help at all).

 

i found 4 other people here on VJ so far, who went ahead and scheduled everything even without packet 3. after hearing their first hand accounts, my fiance decided to go ahead and schedule my interview. we will know soon how it goes! wish me luck! :)

my medical went well. i did it last saturday at NMC in Deira. my schedule was for 8am but i arrived before that. it took about 3 hours in total. 

 

upon arrival, a receptionist took my passport and asked me to wait. an hour and a half later, they called me and asked me to fill out a form, passport copies and photos. a little while later, they called me and nurse checked my forms and briefed me. i was told to pay for the medical tests (AED 975). then first up was blood and urine sample extraction. then more waiting - this time to wait for my turn to see the GP. then when it was my turn, GP asked routine questions about medical and mental history and did routine physical checks. GP asked about vaccination record, which i don't have. GP then prescribed two vaccines for me (MMR and TDAP). after GP consultation was done, the nurse told me to pay for the vaccines (AED 230) and showed me where to get the vaccinations. after getting my vaccines, i did an eye test and a nurse took my BP. then finally i was sent to radiology for x-ray. last step was to report back to the first nurse to check whether i had completed everything and since I have, she said i done!

 

the medical results were ready two days after. the GP asked me to sign a release form for them during the consulation. GP said that if there are issues with the medical test results then they will call me. they will not issue a medical report if there are issues. else, if all was good, then they will issue the medical report.

The NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued but USEM Consulate requires it to be no older than 6 months at the time of the interview. Return and get a new clearance if it is older than 6 months. The NBI website is https://www.nbi-clearance.com/

 

Questions like this are better asked in the sub-forum for the Philippines where others that have experience with the processing in the Philippines can answer your questions.  Each Embassy is different in how they treat the different documents. You didn't say which Embassy your'e going to be using but if it is Dubai then I also recommend joining the Dubai subforum for other answers specific to that Embassy.

no, not entirely true. maybe true if one is residing and interviewing in manila but OP is in Dubai.

payment is made online. when you schedule your interview there is a part there where you will be asked to pay, you will not be able to complete the scheduling process if you don't make the payment. you only bring the payment receipt to the interview.
