Maybe you could look into less expensive childcare while you wait?   Most home care providers are not as expensive as daycares.   Any family or friends around that could help out with childcare for less?

Take some time to breathe and work on things that you have the power to change, one of those is definitely not immigration.  I had to complete an I-601 waiver and (after the third request) my expedite was approved.

I understand what @lovemytico is saying though.   You can't just give up and throw your hands up.  Whether he's in Mexico right now or the US, you've got to keep living.  You can't stand still just waiting while things fall apart around you.

If you get the childcare under control, you can begin looking for inexpensive housing.   Sometimes you can find housing for $500-$600 a month and can work your budget around that.   Keep your head up and go one step at a time.

I've never said I was gonna give up on my self, my kids, my husband or this process. I live states away from family and my few friends work and have kids as well. She is in the cheapest daycare currently. I live in a bad area. I would rather move and change everything and loose health insurance than my kids grow up in a bad area. Its really bad. A doctor I work with, there house was broken into in the middle of the night with them asleep up stairs and there car was stolen. I think it's just time for a change. I love my job and it hard to pay all the bills going from two to one income and having to pay daycare and after school.  I will keep looking for options I will never give up. I just hate to do an expedite, have it denied and it move us back where we have to wait longer. Was wondering if anyone knew about this for sure.

Nobody knows for sure, and this has come up many times. Seems it might be delayed a bit if refused but no way of knowing for sure and the delay is not statistically significant to be able to come up as a pattern.

Well I applied and was approved for 15.00 a month. I make 800.00 every 2 weeks and pay 600.00 monthly for daycare and 75 a week for after school care for another one.

Ok so $800 every two weeks is $1600 a month. Even at $600 a month daycare and $300 a month for other child that's still $700. Can you find someone looking for a roommate? I had my older kids young and shared a house with 2 other people. I stayed w 2 kids in one bedroom. It was cramped and stressful but we made it work and grew closer as a result. There are always ways out of situations you just have to be creative and optimistic.

You can try for the waiver, the worst they say is no right?

We sent the waiver in April, I was asking about an expedite. I also have gas, grocrey, cell, car payment and insurance. No utilities and rent yet. Also health insurance. I'm try to get out my car payment currently.

As I have mentioned have a go, lot of upside, not a lot of downside.

Expedites are usually for dire situations...not situations of everyday life..Bills are a reality for everyone.

Honestly..you should probably learn to be self reliant. I wouldn't count on a quick approval...drugs are serious and Jeff Sessions is weeding out the bad hombres. No joke.

Its a privilege to come here..not a right...and if you can't follow the laws..they Will definitely weed you out.

Everybody has money issues. My neighbors wife moved on because her husband was never getting approved.  Even after an approved 601A.. And he never mentioned drugs.. They just said no. Have a nice day.

My opinion is that they approved his waiver so he would leave the U.S... so they could Deny his visa.

I heard rumors that he is trying to come back illegally but I haven't seen him...

Waiver and Expedites are often a matter of presentation, perhaps more so for Waivers.

Thank for all your advice, but at this point I will just have my surgery, and move after to stay with my mother hours away. I will have to quit my current job and loose health insurance, my car and other things. They are just material. I can get another job. I can replace all those things but my husband and family could never be replaced. I got all the info I needed. This website has been of little help. If anyone is looking Facebook has a page just for waiver from Mexico. I have received a lot of help, encouraging advice, prayers and made a few friends. Thanks again.

By the way...my expedite was approved in 3 days...my reason...well...my unemployment benefits were ending and I needed my husband here to help pay bills...(i was laid off) you should have read my threads..my lawyer told me it would never get approved so I filed for an expedite myself.  I waited 3 long years for him...it wasn't worth it.  If I could turn back the clock. .I would never EVER have put my kids through that.  They deserved better.

I never told you to give up. I told you what happened to my neighbor.  Immigration is unpredictable. You could be waiting years. Especially with our awesome New president in office.

My point is to suggest to you to worry about what is TODAY..not what is unknown. You claim you have class...well.then don't come off as a victim. All I hear is excuses on why you can't do this or that... He's not here...worry About today...complaining about your bills and then not doing anything about it because you are waiting for his approval is just silly .  I lived through it. I know.. I have many many bills..I have 3 kids. There are subsidized daycare programs and church programs that Will help you.  The help is there.

To me...classy is taking care of your children.

Have a plan B. Nothing is fool proof.

I'm not trying to be mean. If someone told me to stop being stupid back then..I wouldn't have wasted 6 years with my ex.  I've been on VJ a long time..

You cannot "make" an other member "go away". VisaJourney's Terms of Service specifically states the following:

  • Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Forums.

However you have the option to ignore a member. In order to do so, hover your cursor to the member's name. A box will pop up with the member's basic information. At the bottom of the box, there is a feature that says "Ignore User". Click on it. It will then take you to another page and let you check all the features you want to ignore from that member. Once checked, click update preferences.

You sound angry, I am sorry bad things happened or did not go your way. But I have faith things will get better. I am tired of people telling me and my small children to move on that we will never seen my husband or father again.

Nope..not angry. I actually find it odd that you play the victim.

Have you ever considered moving to Mexico?  Nobody is stopping you from moving there.

Btw..I know a lot more than you think I know about immigration.  I've been involved with immigration since 2007.

I will even go as far as to say YOU have no idea about immigration...do you Even know why you were asked to file a 601 other than the fact that he's in Mexico now?

If you already have an approved 601A. Then having to file another waiver is suspect.  Has your husband called the USCIS? Have you contacted your congressman? Senator? Did you make an info pass appointment? If you think you have a reason to expedite, why wouldn't you just request one?  My expedite didn't pull my file from the process. They went in the computer and approved the expedite.  My waiver was approved with a fax request from me.

Please don't accuse me of not knowing the process...I know it too well.  😂😂😂

Good luck.. I hope you do the right thing.

We get it already! You waited a long time for your husband...you wish you had not...you feel as though you wasted 6 years on your ex...and now you can't post a response to another human being without sounding nasty and disrespectful. You are not the OP, so don't assume that her life is anything like yours. She came here to ask for honest and respectful opinions - not to be treated like a child.

You had to point out that there is nothing keeping her from moving to Mexico - a fact that you could not possibly know anything about. However, I do know, for a fact, there is nothing keeping you posting in this thread.

Sheeeesh.
