A very accurate assessment of our President. When it is scripted, teleprompted he sounds and looks like a President most likely because those speeches were not written by him but by his staffers. Think of State of the Union but take that away from him he's a vulgar, petulant, incoherent mess who contradicts and criticises what he says in those scripted speeches. The Aussie reporter is spot on.

Thought it was funny and ironic he got his own daughter to sit in for him on Independence Day.

Obama did a superb job considering unprecedented obstruction in the Senate for seven years. Record Filibusters none like we've seen in the history of the country. It was Turtle's goal to make him a one term president remember? They blocked Obama at every turn, for example Obama pushed for Infrastructure but Republicans blocked it because we couldn't afford it and it would raise the national debt. Now Donnie is in power all of a sudden the debt doesn't matter.

Now their health care bill is a disaster, all we heard for seven years was Repeal and Replace. They beat that drum for seven years and voted to repeal it around 60 times in the House and now despite controlling all three branches of government they can't even get a bill to the President's desk to sign.

There is now talk of Turtle negotiating with Democrats to make fixes to the ACA if the Republican bill fails, that would be hilarious after the seven years of repeal and replace obsession.

Let's see, for the first two years the Senate was almost filibuster proof for the Dems, so I am not sure where your seven years come from?  As to Obama's great achievements, I personally believe we need to leave the ACA alone and let it crash and burn on its own, we have the DPRK make real progress on ICBMs, and Iran got a lot of money back and almost no hinderance in their efforts to become a MENA nuclear power (I often wonder how much influence Valerie J. On that accomplishment).

Turtle would be a fool to let the ACA crash and burn. He's in power now in the Senate, anything that happens is his responsibility. Why? Because it was his state (Kentucky) that benefited most from the ACA. The largest drop in the uninsured rate across the fifty states. Turtle knows this, it would be political suicide for him to see hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians lose their health care.

So you are saying he cannot blame Obama for its failure?  I seem to remember a certain past President being blamed for all the lack of accomplishments of the most recent administration.  I guess only the GOP can be blamed and the DNC presidents are perfect.

It works in one state but is a complete failure in the other 49 but we should keep it. Liberal logic.

You missed my point, obviously the ACA was working in most states until the Republicans in Congress started to sabotage it by causing uncertainty in the insurance market.

The ACA was a far better system than what we had before it, can it be improved of course but I'm talking about Kentucky, the state where the Senate majority leader is from. He's going to ultimately decide whether he takes health insurance away from his constituents.

The democrats pass a horrible health care bill and somehow it's the republican's fault when it fails. More liberal logic.

The bill wasn't horrible, the AHCA is "horrible". The ACA was responsible for bring down the uninsured rate in this country to a level we've not seen in years. Is it ideal? No but like I said it is far superior than what any Republican has come up with.

It hasn't failed...but corrections are needed. Besides when the bill is repealed and replaced by Trumpcare everyone will have much better healthcare at a fraction of the cost.
