Hi everyone

I am a new member here .

I just started filling out the visa application with my fiancé , and we came across this problem.

So I have been an exchange student during 2014-2015 , I held a J-1 visa at the time . And when we were completing item number 38a-38h concerning my previous travel in to the states , I didn't know what to write exactly and here is why ( in my I-94 form the Admit Until Date says D/S since I traveled as a student , but in the I-129f form , the only format I could enter is mm/dd/yyyy)

and I am confused now on what to put in this section ( should I just leave it blank or I should put my J-1 visa expiration date )

Thanks in advance

I think you should put exactly what you have in your I-94, the thing with the "date" on the I-94 is that you can't stay here after the date on it so you might have to put the date of the expiration of your visa.

Good luck!
