Haven't told our parents about marriage. Will we get denied?

Dear OP, don't let anyone on this thread discourage you with their negativity, whether your parents know about your marriage or not is not a deal breaker when it comes to getting approval for your AOS.

Both our parents don't know about our marriage and we still got approved. Marriage is a personal thing and no one has to know about it to make it more legit. Don't tell your parents if you don't want to!

ps: and this has nothing to do with maturity as someone here suggested. Live and let live.

So what do you suggest they do when they realize they need a sponsor?

I'm a dependent on my dad's taxes when my dad filed for me he listed me as single not married filing separately because my wife is not in the USA and dosent have a ss#

There is NOT a box on the 1040 form under the parents "dependents" that asks if the dependent is married or not.

See "exemptions" section, Box 6:

Who said the need a sponsor? It's not that hard to make what 26k a year. Maybe she works?

Just as long as you have pictures w friends and family they don't specifically ask if the parents know. And being a UK citizen u shouldn't have problems at the interview.

Her mother agreed to support me anyway. I told her the evidence was for immigration forms so that I'm allowed to live here and work here, which is true. She didn't ask questions and it was fine.

My packet was checked by a lawyer and he said everything was absolutely fine.

Well it's a long story, but I've decided that my course is not for me. My course is a joint "biomedical science degree" into "medicine". I'm going to finish my biomedical science degree, which has 2 years left. One of which I can complete in the US, the final will need more attention in the UK. I may take a year off for my final year.

However, I am teaching myself computer programming over the next few years and am hoping to get a job in this field in the future, any advice here would be appreciated :)

She hasn't met my family, I'll probably say I'm not very close with my family, but they know about her - we haven't gone over to meet them.

Her father pays for her cell phone bill, health insurance, etc. There is no bill that me and her have to pay.

She pays for her car insurance and car lease herself and that's about it.

So does she realize she is financially responsible to take care of you if you have financially troubles and she has to do what for a certain amount of years or until citizenship? Or does she think it is just so that it will look good on your immigration papers?

Good. And how will you handle a possible home visit? When they realize you and your wife lives with family who doesn't know your married. And when they realize you're not even sleeping in the same bed. You know they check that kind of stuff right?

I wouldn't worry about the interview. U will be fine my friend didn't tell anyone and her husband never met her family. I would focus on a resume and start job hunting u should get your work permit in 3 months.

I also think it's naive to think u can go on 2 years without telling anyine...hinesrly it isn't that bad. Maybe wait until u get a good job and can start working and supporting urself here haha that should break the ice;)

Well they schedule the home visit right? And that's for very suspicious cases? Ours is not suspicious.

If they schedule a home visit then we will tell our parents. However, we live with her dad who works from the early morning and comes home in the evening. He'll wouldn't be around if USCIS came in the morning.

We can't do anything about not sleeping in the same bed. When we go on vacations together we sleep in the same bed, or sometimes (once every couple weeks) we just feel like sleeping in the same bed and we'll do it.

Exactly, I want to have a job and be earning a bit of money before I tell them. I don't want to be some jobless guy telling her parents I'm marrying her. I want to have a job and show them that I can support her, otherwise it's just embarrassing.
