Text Message informing about status update...but online status still unchanged?

I'm in-line for oath and received today text message that says:

"Your case NBC.... is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov."

 

I was expecting status change to "Your oath has been scheduled...".

 

But, online status shows no change. It's still the old info "Oath ceremony will be scheduled...".

 

Has anybody else received text messages only to find out that no change in status actually occurred?

Yes We got the same text this evening and nothing has changed.

Not sure I understand why you post here? You are green card applicant, and your green card was recently issued. So what would change in your status?

I received a text too. Tried to log into uscis but it's not working for me. Funny thing is my case has been updated quite a few times in the past weeks and I've never received a text alert. 

N-400

Eligible: 12/03/2016

Day 00    12/12     Mailed application

Day 08    12/20     Text/Email Acceptance

Day 15     12/27     NOA in the mail. Priority date: December 13

Thanks for responding!

My online case also went through three updates without a single text alert, ...and now I'm getting text alerts without an online update.

 

ok....so it seems it's a technical glitch.

This is citizenship forum, and the message relates to citizenship cases.

That's a little rude.  Maybe they stick around to offer advice and support to others applying for visas or to research citizenship.  Maybe they also got the same message and came here to see if there was something going on and to ask about it as well.  It looks like a lot of folks got status update messages the last 24 hours, regardless of their current immigration status.

I too received a case status update text at 0455 this morning (Saturday). This is strange since my citizenship interview is only days away. I thought for a second it was being rescheduled or something.

[september 9th, 2012] received text message from USCIS, stating that I-129F was accepted on Sept 7th
[september 11th,2012] received hard copy of the NOA1 in the mail
[April 17th, 2013] received text message on cell phone of NOA2
[April 22nd, 2013] received hard copy of the NOA2 paper in the mail
[April 24th, 2013] NVC sent packet to Ho Chi Minh City - US Embassy
[May 13th, 2013] Fiance received packet 3 from US Embassy in the mail

[Jan 17th, 2014] EAD/AP - card in the mail
[March 3rd, 2014] received I-797 in the mail, stating that my wife's AOS was approved, and to expect her green card in 3 weeks
[March 7th, 2014] received green card in the mail - we did not have an AOS interview

Same 505 number has been texting me since Friday. Just received a text again a few minutes ago. I think they're making up for the times I didn't receive texts notifications. Lol

I've been getting the same texts all weekend. My interview is this week. I was worried after the first one, but after the 6th one and checking my status online, I realized it must be a glitch. Seems like I'm not the only one getting so many text messages!
