No marriage pictures on facebook

Hi I was just wondering if it would be a problem during the AOS process from our K1 to not have wedding pictures on our facebook? I have seen many people that got married that didn't post it online but that was before all of this: https://techcrunch.com/2017/06/01/us-approves-social-media-background-checks-for-visa-applicants/

 

I suppose the officer looks on our facebook accounts but could they deny our case just by not having wedding pictures online?

I don't have one single picture of wedding or us together on facebook all I have is that I'm married.

I honestly think that this has to do more with terrorism than honeymoon/wedding pictures etc. 

 

My husband and I are private people and are not into posting any pictures on FB, we don't like, repost, post or comment on posts on FB, we don't tweet at all. 

 

I cannot see the US government denying a spousal visa just on the bases of no social media presence.

We have very few photos on FB as I generally don't like broadcasting them.  I imagine a lot of people don't even have FB accounts.

We have literally thousands of FB pics together of our wedding, trips, daily life and I use it as my online to go to album saver.
I don't have a single person on my friend list with whom I have a problem knowing I am married or that see our pics.
We are very proud of our marriage and enjoy sharing all the photos that go with it with family and friends.

To each his own but your country is not a problem so I wouldn't worry about it, I have read posts here where CO's have grumbled
about not having photos together on FB but you are past the embassy phase. 
As to AOS, we had a home visit and they took pictures of almost all our photos we have
displayed in frames in our house. My husband showed them he has my photo as a screen saver on his phone and the investigator
said oh that's great, I don't even have a photo of my own wife on my phone and he chuckled and said maybe I should.
I can say that 99% chance you won't have to deal with a home visit lol but if ever asked just tell them the reasons you do not
have photos on FB together but I do not think it will even come up for you.
If you have any red flags or are from a different country originally (Mena or high fraud) then that is another story under the current
new regulations.

I don't have any photos of my wedding on FB and even if I did, my account is set to friends only.  If someone doesn't like that my FB is private, tough luck, there is no obligation to share anything on social media.

My husband has Facebook but doesn't use it so of course, he has not shared any photos except for updating his marital status and recently his profile picture. I shared a few pictures on FB from our wedding but I rather keep things more private honestly. I passed my K-1 interview with no problems and adjusted status just fine.

I don't have photos of my wedding on Facebook either. I barely use it anyway. I've never heard of CO's asking anyone to open up their Facebook profile to show them their pictures. Has it happened on the rare occasion? Possibly. I've never heard of it though.

Thank you all  And if it comes up, we will tell the CO the truth of not wanting to feel the bad energy/judging from some people online. We are still really young and sharing this with everyone at this moment is not a good idea. It doesnt change the fact that we are happy to get married and finally live our lives together.

My husband is very private (works with teens and don't want them adding him) and everything is set to friends/super exclusive. No one can even find him easily on Facebook. it doesn't even show he is married. Mine on the other hand, it's a love fest. I don't mind. I have most of our pictures/wedding album/photos together set to public, including the wedding info, thinking social media is such a big deal in people's lives that they most certainly will look into it, and this is how they've found fraud and other issues before. But I have to agree, if your proof is strong, even if it's not on social media it's not a valid reason to deny someone's application. If you went around sharing how ''much you hated America'' for instance then yes, you'd be in serious trouble.

I've got a Twitter account that I post from once in a blue moon but that's it. I deleted all of my social media last year. Doubt that it would ever be grounds for deportation and if it ever was then I guess that's tough doo-doo for me lol.

If they want to check your FB, let them. If they see one wedding pic and not 50 say this , "What number of photos constitutes a real marriage and what number constitutes a sham marriage?" then ask "How did you come up with this figure because I was never told that X number of photos equals a real marriage and X number of photos is equal to a sham" .

I would find another articulation instead of "bad energy and judging" because that will peak their interest in why would there be

any judgement and bad energy and are you not confident in your relationship.
Just tell them you are very private people and your inner circle knows and that you don't feel like broadcasting it on facebook.
