Hello Everyone

I got a notification from USCIS online site that they were ready to book an appointment for my change of status interview and stating that I would be getting a letter informing me when they had booked the appointment for this interview.  It's been three weeks and no letter. Which I find unusual. Usually you get your information within a week to ten days after notification.

So I email USCIS. Enquiring why we had not received a response yet of the appointment date. Their response was your application is still pending consideration?  Which seems weird as their first email stated they were ready to book an appointment for an interview?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Was it a ready to schedule you for an interview message?

Yes it was

Yeah, the thing about that message is that it doesnt have an specific time-frame of when you'll get the interview. Could be in a couple of weeks, could be in months. It just means your case went through the process and is now at your local office for scheduling for the interview =)

My expedite request got approved the day I faxed out my offer letter, then I got my combo card in hand on september 11th. So the entire process took about a week for me

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got a letter saying to bring my wife’s I-693 to our interview once it’s schedule so hopefully her status will change to ready to schedule interview soon.

And congressman emailed me saying my wife’s EAD expedite was approved yesterday at 89 days. Thank god and goodness. Now to wait for the card and to see if it includes the AP.

Finally received my EAD card this morning. I submitted an expedite request about 3 weeks ago and after countless tier 2 phone calls, congressman inquiry I received my card this morning.I received my approval notices yesterday for both EAD and AP. Btw, no updates to my cases, they are all still saying case received and fingerprint fee received. I immediately went to my DMV because my license expired last month. I was in and out of DMV in about 40 mins with new DL. Yayyy!

I begin working again on Monday, I am so relieved. Priority date is July 28th. I am just so happy I can go back to living a regular life working again and driving my car that was parked in the garage for over a month.

I am now patiently waiting on interview date.

Good luck guys!
