Yay, izavox! Another group member in California!

I hope that as the months progress, more people from everywhere join the discussion so that we can get better estimates in the timing of this thing! I know a lot of people just come here and read (over 1,000+ views just on this thread, hello?). I was a bit hesitant at first, but then I thought *come on, the more people who share their experiences, the more we all can learn... so what the heck, just do it!* Haha!

Come on, you guys, if you're reading this and thinking of joining the thread because you're a July filer, just do it! Haha!

Hey you guys! How's everybody doing? I got some updates on my case, yesterday I got a Notice to The Applicant regarding my I-693. I purposely didn't send my I-693 due to its 1 year only validation (I have done my medical though, after sending my stuff out, just in case they requested for evidence). Turns out the NTTA was just to say they havent identified my medical form with all my documents and that I must bring it with me if I'm called for an interview (i got legit scared thinking it was a RFE but my husband and I saw it wasnt and I even called USCIS to confirm what that letter was - I'm super OCD with stuff like that haha).

And today i got my second biometrics appt for the EAD/AP card (I don't know why I must do two biometrics appt but I read online and some people have been requested that as well).

Anyways, just to update us July filers!

Hey everyone! Got some 'slight' good news (I say slight because I was excited about reading it but then I searched online about it and then a major 'womp womp' played over my head haha), but as I religiously check my case status everyday, I saw it changed to now ready to be scheduled for an interview! But again, I saw people online saying it could take months and almost a year to get the interview scheduled but I'm hoping this means the process is still going  =D

I can't find a lot of info on the San Fernando Valley office (my Field Office) online (and specially here, VJ doesnt have a link on timeline and office for the SFV one), but from USCIS it seems like there's quite a backlog there, since they're processing cases from September 2016 =(

Just be patient! Your PD is just over a month ago. USCIS doesn't move THAT fast (sadly).

What was the RFE for (if you don't mind my asking)? I filed three weeks ago and am already wondering if I should have sent more stuff. 😓

As I am only out of college I have the money now but don't have the tax proof from any previous years, so my mom helped us and also did an I-864 for us as well. But they did the RFIE for her paystubs and an employment letter. Just sent them and her hr just did a report of her raise which had all of the details the needed, like her tenure and etc.

Called USCIS Customer Service yesterday (August 30th) and submitted an EAD expedite request. Received an email this morning from USCIS requesting job offer letter to be faxed to them.
