Hi guys! Our interview was this morning and we were approved! It was a very smooth process. Sharing our experience, because I know how much it helped me to read the stories of others. Our appointment was at 7:30 AM in Orlando and we arrived at about 6:45AM. We went inside at 7AM when they opened, went through security and then checked in. We were called in around 7:40AM. The officer was very friendly and approachable. She swore us in, took my finger prints and picture and then started with some questions.

She asked both my husband and I to confirm our full names, address, date of birth and place of birth, and also requested an updated medical exam.

She asked when we started dating, how long we have been married, where we got married, if we have any children and if we were renting or owned our home, where we were employed and how many cars we have.

She then asked the standard questions regarding any involvement in illegal activity, etc.

She skimmed through our documents evidencing our bonafide marriage (we had a lot) and after that she said that she didn’t have any questions and then handed me a letter stating my case looked complete and approvable and said that she will be completing her final checks later, but I should expect to receive my green card in the mail in a couple of weeks. She also told us that she would approve a 10 year green card, because we have been married 3 years, so yay for that!

Around 3:30PM today I got the notification that my card is in production.

I can’t wait for my card to arrive, but I’m so grateful for a smooth experience and wish everyone the best of luck.

Make sure your medical exams exams are not older than one year, all your docs are complete and that you have lots of evidence of your bonafide relationship and you will be fine!

I will keep you guys posted on when my card arrives :)

I missed my husband's AOS interview and I couldn't reschedule the day before. He went alone with a doctor's excuse letter and they told him they will reschedule and to wait for a month. Impatient as we are (😁) we walked into the USCIS office without an interview appointment or infopass and asked to be rescheduled. To my surprise, they gave us a new date on the spot. Now our interview is on December 13.
