Thank you! Oh that's amazing! Congrats to you too! And that is good to know there might be a delay on the status updates, I started to get a bit worried because I've seen people here get their status changed to 'Card  Being Produced' within hours after the interview. We got a letter of approval when he told us we were approved. Did you get that as well? Keep us posted! :D

It is great that you already have the letter of approval in hand. In my case, I just got the officer verbal recommendation for approval and a print out as the notice of the interview results, which per officer it indicates we attended the interview (it seems people have found this notice stressful since it shows the continuance of the case, made me a little stressed as well). The officer told us you should get the status updated in a couple of weeks and get the approval letter and green card in mail in few weeks.

Well I sent it the renewal applications for I-765 and I-131. I received the notice of action today. We'll see what happens.

So our EAD will expire this month and so will our drivers license. At the DMV they said they'll have to check with USCIS and it will take 2-4 weeks and they'd have to punch a hole in the license so we wouldn't have a valid license anymore. They also don't give a temporary one. I don't know what to do. Last time it took them 91 days and now we are at 111 days. I will need to drive my husband to work and pick him up because he won't be able to drive.

I’m so sorry to hear that :( . They couldn’t issue a new license even with the renewal letter? The renewal extends the current EAD for another 6 months allowing you to work, so I would think that it would work to extend your license too. :(

Thank you so much DKC. Interview was great and we were approved!

We got at the office at 8:20 a.m. (interview was scheduled for 8:45 a.m.), but we were called up only at around 9:45 a.m.

It was very odd the first contact with the person who interviewed us. He called our number, my husband and I walked towards him and he said "We are finishing reviewing your paperwork. Do you have any updated documents you'd like to give me now so I can take a look?" I was a bit taken by surprise because I thought we were going to go to a room with him to begin the interview, but we went along and gave him some bills with both our names on that we didn't send when we filed back in July last year, and I also gave him my work paperwork (I wasn't employed when I filed as well). My husband asked if he'd like our photo album and he said "Oh yeah, that'd be great". So he took all those docs and photos and said he'd be with us in a little bit.

We went back to waiting, and then he called us about 10 minutes later. We sworn and then we were ready to begin the interview.

He was very nice, the 'jokester' kind of person, if I say so. He asked for our passports and ID's and asked us how we met. We told him and he made some comments and all that, he then asked me all those questions from the I-485, got my fingerprints and photo and then he thanked us and said for us to wait in the waiting room and he'd be with us in about 15 minutes with the result.

Almost exactly 15 minutes later he called us again and said we were approved! We were so happy and he said we should expect the card within 30 days.

That was it. I came bearing tons of documents and copies and he barely asked for those hahaha...only asked us one thing and it was more of a conversation than an interview.

Now I just can't wait to receive the card! I've seen some people getting their status updated to 'Card Being Produced' on the day it is approved, but so far nothing for me hahaha...but hopefully the card will arrive soon and I can rest for 2 years haha

Let me know if you guys have any questions and I want to thank you all for the support!

Hi! Did you get the card in the mail yet? :D

Yes but it will take 2-4 weeks for dmv to check with USCIS and during that time we don't have a license.

So on egov my case updated stating that the interview has been scheduled. On the dhs account there are no new updates.

Congrats!! Don't worry, sometimes they don't 'communicate well'. Keep checking your mail as well. I have the Informed Delivery system and on the day I got my interview letter I did not receive a notification from USPS, I got it on the next day, when i had the letter with me already.

Let us know when you get the letter!

Hi, izavox. First, congrats on receiving your card!

I have a question, was it certified mail? Did you have to sign to receive your card?
