So we received a checklist from NVC yesterday because we somehow forgot to send the Marriage Certificate but it also says "Send the missing or corrected items to the National Visa Center (NVC) and include a copy of the Case Number Barcode Cover Sheet." and they attached the Case Number Barcode Sheet that we must use in the checklist but the weird part is the cover sheet they sent us says "Do not use this cover sheet if you are submitting forms and supporting documents by email."

Yes we sent our documents by email, but Why did they ask us to attach this cover sheet even though the cover sheet itself says don't use it if you're submitting documents by email!!

"copy" of the case number barcode cover sheet, probably, means photocopy of the original.

Thank you for replying, but i was asking about why did they ask us to attach it even though it says not to use it if you're submitting via email?

Because not everyone is going to send things by email......???  It's not a personalized letter to your specific case. The instructions are for everyone....even those who send postal which needs the barcode page.

Not really sure where the confusion is.

There's no need to attach the cover sheet if you email your documents. Just write your case number in the SUBJECT line when sending an email and attach the marriage certificate.

Did you confirm with the NVC on the phone when they got your documents? Where did your lawyer misspell your case number?

Your attorney should be correcting the situation.  You should ask him what HE is going to do.

I got the checklist too when I was at NVC stage, and they too sent the cover sheet with the barcode. I was not required to submit any documents to them, instead I was intructed to bring the missing documents to my interview. I guess, this is just a general part of the checklist letter and is not specified to your case.

Hope that helps!

Thank you. Yes we did that like an hour ago and they received our documents and my lawyer corrected what he messed up.

Thank you for replying. He did correct and sent an email that includes our documents and says that he misspell the case number

Thank you for replying. Is it gonna be a problem or delay our case that we sent the cover sheet?
