Good Afternoon Fellows,

I am not really one to speculate, but my fiance got word from family that she has a package/letter from Moscow waiting on her. She's very excited and is thinking it is from the embassy; however, I have not received NOA2 or been notified by NVC that my petition has passed through their hands. Now she is two days out from getting to the package/letter, so I can't help but to ask ... is it possible that my petition has been approved and scooted on through NVC and to embassy before I am even notified of NOA2 ? I told her has to be something else, but I suppose anything is possible ... anyone ever heard of such happening?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Was your case expedited?

It's possible, but given your timeline unlikely. Cases are taking about 1 month to be processed at the NVC, so for you to have gone through NOA2 and the NVC without knowing at this time is unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

Not to my knowledge at least I did not request an expedite ... It is just crazy that she would receive something at this address because it is not her normal address to receive mail at ... given to me just for this purpose of receiving info on the visa ... I don't know ... just have to see I reckon.

I meant its about 1 month on average from the NOA2 date to when the case arrives at the embassy, so going from the CSC to NVC, waiting for case number and then arriving at the embassy.

Well, what does the CEAC status read? is it "in transit" or "ready"?

Not sure, I haven't checked it because all I have is a USCIS Case Number ... I have never received NOA2 or NVC Notice. I think I'll call NVC tomorrow and see if they have received it ... I'll be shocked if they have.

You only need the case number for this part of the process. So go in and check what it says!

This isn't 1980 LOL. Can't her family just take a photo with their phone of whatever the letter is and text it to her or do they mean their is letter at post office that only she can pick up?

lol ... yeah she has to pick it up. I am pretty sure at this point it's not a letter from embassy. NVC knows nothing of my case so ... still waiting
