You have your GC in hand?  Assuming you do, there is not much your inlaws can do in my opinion.  However, if you stay out of the country for more than a year without a re-entry permit you may find your GC abandoned.

Good Luck!

If they have proof that the AOS was fraudulently filled out then yes it can be a problem. They would need proof not just blowing steam.

Who signed the I-864 affidavit of support?  Did your in-laws co-sponsor you?

If so, that's probably why they don't want you to come back.  Because they are still responsible for you until it expires or you permanently leave the US.

I would not worry, they cannot withdraw their signatures.  And they know this, so this is why they are threatening you with fake claims.  You don't have to hide from them.  You can come and go as you please.

As many people have told you, you can go back to the US.  Just don't tell your inlaws.  They'll never know.  But you need to go back to the US soon.  If you are out of the States for 12 months, the US will consider that you have abandoned your green card.

I just realized something that I missed when I first read the OP.  You have been married for 10 years?  But only moved to the US 8 months ago?  So you lived apart for over 9 years?  Was your relationship wit your in-laws good before?  What changed?  Why after 10 years did things go bad?  It happens, but usually after so long people rarely divorce unless one spouse finds a new partner.
