Hi.  I was wondering how I should answer the DS-160 regarding the vaccination info.  I didn't have vax when I was a kid.  Well, at least I can't find any baby book.  I asked my parents if I had vaccinations but they both don't remember so I assume I don't.  Anyway, on the DS-160, there's a question there regarding having the vaccinations that the US required.  I would normally say no, because I don't (probably) have any.  But I know that the medical check-up includes all vaccinations that you have missed, meaning the clinic will vaccinate you on the spot if you don't have any vaccinations.  So is it but right to just answer Yes on the form, instead of No?  Or do I just answer No and put in an explanation?  Thanks for the advise.

you can get a blood test (titers) to see if you have immunity for the diseases they require immunization for.

Did they not require proof of immunization for you to register at school?

Did you already have your medical exam? Maybe wait until you have that before filling out the DS-160?

Thank you for the quick reply, @DrEllaNJ.  I don't remember if they asked for it, as far as I can remember, they didn't ask for one.  But yeah, maybe I'll get a blood test.  I was thinking of submitting the DS160 right after the medical exam so I have the vaccinations and won't have issues about it.  I was just hesitant in doing sp because the only authorized clinic is far from where I live (have to take an hour plane ride which, of course, adds to costs) and I thought I'd take one trip, that is, take the medical exam and have the interview maybe a week later.

Maybe I'll just do 2 trips. :)

Thanks again. :)

On the question about having immunization documentation at the interview, my fiance said yes, as she was going to get them at the medical.  And she got them at the medical so she has the documentation before her interview.  Not sure if that helps you.

The DS-160 does not take long to fill out - you can gather info you need now and do it between your medical and interview. You just need to be able to print the confirmation page.

Thanks.  Yeah, it's all filled out, but not yet submitted, and I have all my supporting dox ready actually.  I'm just waiting for the case to be "Ready" in the embassy. :)
