Does anyone else know any information on the required police certificates needed for the interview? My Fiancé is from Brasil and I just read that she will need police certificates from the Federal Police just one single document and the State Police for every state she has lived in for over 6 months for the past 5 years.

Thanks so much in advance!

Yes, it is necessary, the federal is simple, just access this website, federal police http://www.pf.gov.br/servicos-pf/antecedentes-criminais on this site you find the Federal, the state just search on Google , Sometimes it does not go out on the Internet, then it is necessary to go to a government post, but it is very simple to achieve, if you have doubts, send the states and I search the sites, good luck :) I do not know if your Portuguese is Well, usually the sites of the Brazilian government are in Portuguese.

Thank you so much, and no I only know very little Portuguese I am in the process of learning. If she lived in the state to go to school but never had a State ID would the certificate still be required?

I suppose so, here in Brazil we have two documents. The RG (general registration) and CPF (personal registration) after it is done, has national validity and is not changed, so you can live in any Brazilian state and the numbers will be the same, so if he lived in any state He can, of course, if he has no infractions, will appear "nothing" in the document.

These are the links of the States, we always look for the state.
Natal - Rio Grande do Norte (http://certidao.jfrn.jus.br/certidaoInter/emisaocertidao.aspx)
Curitiba-Paraná (http://www.institutodeidentificacao.pr.gov.br/modules/conteudo/conteudo.php?conteudo=102)
Brasília (http://certidaoweb.pcdf.df.gov.br/Views/index.aspx)
I hope I have helped, the filling is with basic information, but if you do not know, tell your spouse to help, good luck. :)

You're a life saver, thank you so much! one last question hopefully, but do you have any idea of how long it takes to receive the documents?

Most are online, so you get on the spot. If you do not get one of them, you should contact the state in question and ask for information on how to get it. Good luck for all of us.

When she goes to the interview with all the documents needed do they all need to be translated into English and if so by who?

There is no need to be translated, if it is the Brazilians, it can be in Portuguese.
