Hi all. Not sure if this is the subforum for this, so feel free to move it to a proper subforum.

I have some questions here, but before that, here is the background.

1. Won DV, along with 1st born (4 year old), activated GC Nov 2016.

2. Stayed for 9 days, went out of USA since then till now. (Now i am still out of the USA).

- Opened a Citibank account - but have not been able to access the online portion - so not sure if Citibank will close my account since there is not activity till now.

3. GC is considered missing (tracking says delivered, but nowhere to be found).

4. Will go to the USA for a period of 3 months early September 2017 till early Dec 2017. My I 551 stamp on my passport is valid till Nov 2017.

5. Will stay at a friend's place in an area where everyone uses PO Box (the mountains area in NM - so USPS will not travel to each house in the area - and mail is handled via PO box at a central location).

 - I will change my address on My USCIS to the friend's address soon

6. Planning to apply:

- A. replacement of GC for myself and 1st born (I-90)

- B. re-entry permit for myself and 1st born. (I-131)

- C. INFOPASS to get I 551 stamped after getting the receipt notice of replacement GC

- D. NM driver's license.

- E. SSO visit for child's SSN, and maybe myself to get a new SSN card , not sure if that is needed (my SSN card is an old one received during study time more than 10 years ago where it says "valid for work only with ins authorization")
- F. Enroll my 4 year old into a school for his age (my friend will assist me on this).

- G. Open another bank account, and try to access my Citibank account again.

- H. Check creditscore

Alright so the above is the background and my plan.

My questions here are:

1. Anything that i can do from now to make sure i can file form I-131  and I -90 as smooth as possible? I would not want to lose my GC again, and would want to make sure i get my biometric appointment for both I 90 and I 131 within the time that I am in the USA. i know i can only submit the forms while i am in the USA. So if there are documents/supporting docs/copies that i can prepare from now on, can someone point that to me?

2. Anything else that I should be thinking about/consider?

Thank you.

Thank you for the answer.

May i know if the replacement GC as well as Re-entry permit would be addressed to my child directly (meaning the letters would have his name on it) or will it be mailed to his guardian (me)? Just to make sure what to expect.
