So, when you get your case number or whatever it is, can you decide to send more information on your own that they never asked for? Or does that just complicate/delay things? I just wanted to keep sending them stuff as our plans for our wedding crystallize and anything else I can think of in the meantime to "front load" as much evidence of relationship I can before her visa interview (whenever that ends up being). Thanks!

Not advised to send anything that was not requested. Most likely the docs you send won't be put on your case file.

If you wanted to front load, you should've done so when sending the i129f package.

If you get a rfe, you can technically send more than what's asked. You can also hand things out during the interview

Just a general heads up -- it's great to find out information and do some planning for your ceremony (and super exciting to do, yay!), but please do not set a date in stone before the visa is in hand. Cases often take longer than expected, delays happen, and you'd hate to have to postpone the ceremony, lose out on nonrefundable deposits and force long-distance guests, if you have any, to make new travel plans because the visa didn't come through in time for the wedding you planned. It's happened to a number of people on this forum, alas.

Hi Caleb! It's not advisable to do that. For I-129F/K-1, I don't think they actually review any documents at NVC level other than just forwarding a case that has been adjudicated by USCIS to the local embassy. Sure you can send them but at the end of the day, it is more likely that they end up in the trash. Just ask your fiancee to bring the wedding planning evidence to the interview at the embassy as part of your relationship evidence stack :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
