police certificate validity

Hi guys

What is police certificate validity in Usa consulate? I need 2 police certificate from 2 different countries: Russia and Israel. 

In all countries is it the same period? I dont know how many months before interview, i need to order them.

In my embassy they wanted the police clearance to be issued 6 months at time of interview. So probably don't get them too early. Wait for the petition to reach the NVC stage

If you have lived in those countries in the past  (you are no longer a resident there) the certificate has "unlimited validity". If you are getting a police certificate from a country you are currently residing in, should be a recent one.

Thank you. I wrote email to US consulate in my country. Here is an answer:

 "Israeli criminal information certificates are valid for one year from the date of issuance. As for the Russian certificate it is indefinitely valid as long as the applicant does not reside in Russia. However, it is the decision of the consular officer to accept the Russian police certificate or require a new one to be issued."

No.

 

You don't need to provide that kind of documentation on the petitioner.
