My fiance has interview in few weeks. Once she is approved *crosses fingers*, what else am I responsible for paying for immediately afterwards and  how much approximately ? I know the green card application isnt cheap, I just dont know when thats due/necessary.  I just want to have a clear idea of what I need to have available in regards to finances since she is also bringing her daughter so everything is times 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How old is the daughter?

There actually is a discount if daughter is under 14 and is applying for the AOS along with her mother so it would be best to do it at the same time and right after the marriage so that your wife can get her EAD so she can work and so on (also get their GC).

Look under special instructions for the price.

Whats the AOS ? No discount unfortunately. She turns 15 next week. Ohh adjustment of status. Yes they are both applying for AOS, and yes the plan is to get wifes AOS asap to get her work permit. About that, work permit or EAD is typically 6 months after application right ? I appreciate the link I'll check it out.

As Eric-Pris says about 3-4 months for the EAD/AP card. Both AP and EAD are free (fee waived) to file for when you apply along with the AOS.

Also apply for those for the daughter. She will need the EAD card before she can get a SSN number.

Read this guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/ for guidance on AOS ( adjustment of status which is the next step after marriage for a K1)

EAD/AP is Employment authorization and advance parole ( allows the holder to re-enter the US)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey
