My I-130 was approved June 19, 2017. On July 3 my status says sent to NVC but I called NVC and they have not received my case yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for NVC to receive cases from USCIS? It has been two weeks now since my approval.

It takes about 2 weeks from when the USCIS status changes to sent to NVC. Ours was approved on 04/01, status changed on 04/12 and we got our case number on 04/26.

Try calling in about a week or so, see if they assigned a case number after they received it.

You will get an email from the NVC with your case number and invoice number. Nothing in the mail.

Wow! I thought everything was sent through the mail. Anyway, I'm more than happy that it's done this way..... Faster I think. Thanks so much!

Don't really know why it's done this way but after you receive your approval notice, two weeks from the 23rd then you will receive a notification that your case is sent to NVC then I think it's another two weeks before you can hear from the NVC with your new case number.
