Good morning everyone,

I called the VISA Department Friday to request an expedite for my case because my father is facing yet another open heart surgery.  My husband has talked to him several times on the phone but has never met him in person.  My father is almost 70 and having another open heart or bypass can have complications.  As a daughter I worry about that.  My point is I called and spoke to a representative and they advised me to write an email (which if did Friday)  She explained to me that the Embassy in Haiti will be the one to determine if they can expedite it or not.  Just curious if anyone else has been told this.  I received a checklist because I forgot to sign my name in one place on the I-864 (Affidavit of Support).  I mailed another one right away and they scanned it on June 16th.  I have read on here that someone spoke to a supervisor and told them their reason for an expedite and the supervisor reviewed it and closed the case.  Not sure what I can or if what I was told is true?
