Kamala Harris Uses Children’s Citizenship Ceremony to Blast Trump Policies

 

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) used her speech at a citizenship ceremony for 41 children aboard the U.S.S. Iowa in San Pedro to blast President Donald Trump’s policies on Monday.

Though she did not mention the president by name, Harris’s speech took aim at Trump’s “travel ban” and urged the newly-naturalized Americans — who became citizens automatically when their parents did so — to become politically involved to oppose the Trump administration.

At a health care rally later in the day, according to the Times, Harris used racial terms to mock Republicans who were negotiating on a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, calling them “this group that looks exactly like each other and not like most of us here.”

Harris is frequently mentioned as a possible presidential candidate for the Democrats in 2020.

Tomorrow, people will celebrate American independence with food and fireworks. But for me, there’s no greater celebration of what this country is than the outpouring of love and support we saw just a few months ago when new arrivals to this country were under assault.

Thousands of people wrote and called Congress.

Americans all over the country marched.

They rallied at airports, where they offered legal advice, handed out food, and waved signs.

Like the young woman at LAX holding the U.S. flag with the poem from the Statue of Liberty written on it: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

It's funny because Californians in particular with their pro-illegals sentiment have had all this resentment toward legal immigration over my years in that state, now suddenly they are trying to blend illegal and legal immigration and run this sleazy campaign to make it seem like anti-illegal immigration advocates hate all immigrants in general.

 

Guess we'll see how much these people fall for it. They're doubling down on trying to pimp the indoctrination on newly minted citizens.

Sanctuary Cities Vow to Make ‘1 Million Immigrants’ Citizens to Oppose Trump

 

“Sanctuary cities” across the country are pledging to make one million immigrants into U.S. citizens this year, partly as a response to the policies of President Donald Trump.

According to the Washington Examiner, the initiative is being pushed by a group called “Naturalize NOW!”—which is tying its campaign to patriotic American holidays like the Fourth of July.

Announced on Flag Day, the Examiner reports:

[t]he ‘Naturalize NOW!’ campaign, which includes liberal and progressive groups and elected officials, heralded the mayors of the cities in joining the national effort.

Among the cities cited in an Independence Day notice from Mi Familia: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Cleveland, OH; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Dayton, OH; Jersey City, NJ; Knoxville, TN; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Miami-Dade County, FL; Montgomery County, MD; Paterson, NJ; Pittsburgh, PA; New York City, NY; Salt Lake County, UT; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, CA; South Gate, CA & Tucson, AZ.

Most of these jurisdictions are sanctuary cities and counties.

Los Angeles, which has long been a “sanctuary city” under a local ordinance known as “Special Order 40,” has been in the hot seat nationally ever since President Trump publicly befriended Jamiel Shaw, Sr. Shaw’s 17-year-old son with the same name was gunned down by an illegal alien gang member released onto the streets of LA instead of being turned over to federal authorities for deportation.

Gotta love how immigrants are overtly political fodder for the Democratic Party. I'd feel pretty demeaned if I was reduced to this. 

 

More than sure they're aware that cities have no authority over who attains citizenship and who doesn't.

 

It's lovely watching the Democratic Party and their leftist sycophants thumb their noses at Americans and support criminals over their own populace.

So how do they propose to make the leap from illegal alien to naturalized citizen?  The website just gives the standard rules that most familiar already know and only applies to legal immigrants which is counter to what these sanctuary cities support.  Maybe they will be setting up dating sites to hook up illegals with spouses and try to do it that way which will also be a tough hill to climb.  

 

I guess this is more about intentions.

Definitely intentions. Like a lot of circumstances, leftist politicians find a group of people to label victims and then make superficial attempts to appeal to them. Unfortunately in states like California they're easily suckered by this.. but because of circumstances like this being placed under a microscope, and because of nationwide politics like Pelosi and co trying to influence local Congressional elections across the country, it's going to influence the Democrats in a substantially negative way.

I suppose, but quite honestly at a naturalization ceremony or for that matter a graduation ceremony, I would rather not have politics injected into the speech.  If Trump did that, I would say the same thing.

For any non Californians here, please note that Kamala Harris is an absolute nightmare. She kept a man ruled innocent in Federal Court in prison for years while she appealed the ruling because his attorney had missed a previous filing deadline...

 

The court found that Danny was innocent, the police officers who testified at his trial were not credible, and his trial attorney was constitutionally ineffective for failing to call witnesses on Mr. his behalf.

 

Before Mr. Larsen was released, the Attorney General appealed the judge’s ruling. The Attorney General’s main argument was that even if Danny was innocent, his conviction should not be reversed because he waited too long to file his petition. In other words, an innocent man should spend his life in prison due to a legal technicality.

 

Almost three years after his exoneration, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals finally decided to release Danny. Although the status of his exoneration will remain in limbo pending the Attorney General’s almost certain appeal to the United States Supreme Court, Danny and CIP are celebrating.
