You'll have your passport back soon. It is very likely you won't be flying on Monday but it won't be much later than that. A week, maybe? Look on the bright side - it's only a week without your family. We were apart for much longer than that, most people here are. The longest we spent apart was 8 months and before I lived here the longest we had spent together was 3 weeks.  Not trying to make this into a competition over who suffered the most. I'm just saying if we can survive months and months apart, a week will fly by. Just keep busy.

Oh no I agree, some people are apart for years so a week or so is no biggie, but I just want to know what's happening x  if I know it's coming ill be fine I have no patience, I mean sure I don't love the fact this will cost a pretty penny but it is what it is. X

Yeah I'm hoping I won't be far behind them so fingers crossed I he my visa in n the next week or so and will just have to fly solo. Poor hubby will have both kids hey maybe I'll see if I can get a sneeky upgrade and leave in style!

You can ask your husband (US citizen) to email the consulate. It may work or it may not work, but at least is something.

Well no change today it seems it still says the 3rd as the last date they updated the case.

It seems to me, once you send all forms they asked, you'll get your passport back.

"The things we needed to get them an I-407 to cancel my previous immigrant visa (never knew they needed this) some additional info on my joint sponsor (my Mother in law) but after that they then sent another blue 221g denial asking for my husbands taxes (statement letter as discussed above) which he never filed because he had no income!"

I've sent everything they wanted.

When did you send them everything? Was it via email or post?

I had to submit info on my sponsor after my interview. They gave me the 221(g) form and gave me an email to send the documents to.

Once I'd emailed the documents it took them 7-8 to look at the documents, another 3-4 days for CEAC to show Issued. It has been three days since it said Issued and I am still waiting for my passport.

All in all, Monday is out of the question but I'm hoping it won't be longer than a week after that. Hope everything goes well. If it makes you feel better I haven't seen my Fiancee in nearly a year.

We emailed it back to them the day after and then they asked for tax returns for my husband and he sent the letter straight away via email.

It actually updated again at 5pm to say the case updated but still says AP :-(

I hope you get yours soon, do you have a tracking number? I'm hoping we can collect from the courier if they get it in the next few days.

I haven't gotten a tracking number. Hopefully tomorrow since I lost a day because the Embassy was closed yesterday.

If your case updated it means they are working on it and haven't forgotten about it as they do most cases in AP. I'm hopeful you hear something back very soon. I doubt you'll be able to collect this week. The case will say Issued after AP and once it does that it takes 5-7 days for you to collect or get your passport home delivered. Earliest I see you getting your passport with the visa is probably next Friday, that's if it says Issued by this Friday.

Where are you moving to?
