I asked my lawyer and he said you cannot obtain a different one since the one he sent has a different date there's potential for mistakes and if u mess up even In a number that's it your done.. he clearly told me that they won't ask it because since we filed here in the USA..they review it at the consul that's why they charge you the fee but idk what to think anymore

We sent ours in December and they we sent an updated copy in with 2016 taxes when we got the waiver approved, there's no reason why they should ask for it but it'd be a shame if they were to ask for it and that was the only thing missing . Try asking around in the forum to people that have had their interview and see if they were asked for it. The lady that did our paperwork had told us that if we didn't send in the affidavit with 2016 copies that they wouldn't schedule us, I honestly think she was just trying to get more money from us though.

I think she was right because they ask for the 3 most recent tax years.. did you guys keep a copy?

Yea I did, normally she would give us copies of everything but that last one she didn't so  I made a copy of it on my own because I had gone over the check list so I had an idea of everything I would need .

I know the feeling ... Your lawyer should be more Help.  Did he not get a copy of your stuff?  The thing is that the affidavit is pretty your taxes and w-2s so that can be of help but what if they ask her for the affidavit your lawyer is going to have to get it for you regardless

I was inclined to make a new one but in the 3rd year of the taxes my lawyer put an estimate amount because I didnt take my 2014 taxes so idk if the 3rd tax amount might be different in the new affidavit

Oo I see just go like that but don't forget your taxes w2s and your paycheck Stubbs.  At least in your case you have a lawyer to turn if any goes wrong I didn't even hire a lawyer so i would be screwed.
