Can anyone recommend a good immigration attorney?

Hello! I'm a conditional GC holder based on K-1 visa. The relationship with my husband has gone from good to bad to worse and now it's just unbearable. We tried to work on our marriage and our differences but there are some things I just can't look past and I'm sure he has his list of grievances as well. And now he started threatening me with telling USCIS that I am a fraud and our marriage was nothing but a way of getting a CG for me. He knows it's not true but when he gets mad and feels helpless that's what he does. So now it's obvious we can't live like this. And I am wondering if any of you can suggest a good immigration attorney to look at my case and tell me what my options are at this point. Thank you for any help or advice!

Maybe look into a divorce lawyer instead or maybe one there can handle both.

 

Before you leave the house make sure you have evidence of your marriage together for your ROC. You can file your ROC be yourself with a divorce waiver just make sure you have evidence of your marriage together like tax returns, joint everything (finances, insurance, and so on)

 

He might just say that because it's easy to hurt you that way. there really isn't anything he can do about your status when he does not have any evidence of you entering the marriage for only the Green Card. 

 

Many in here file ROC with divorce waiver so you will have a lot of help.

Do not believe this poor guy. Make sure you have your ROC evidence and divorce him right away. He's not a good person and more than that he's not a man. You'll be fine.

The problem is my husband has a law degree so he knows his stuff... He kept all the documents and I don't even have a copy of our lease agreement although I think I can get it from our landlord. I am an authorized user on his credit card and he is on mine. I was an authorized user on his banking account but at a certain point he took that card away from me and I don't know if I'm still on it or maybe he removed me from it. I don't even have a copy of our marriage certificate because he tore it during one of our fights. He kept putting away filing our tax returns and when I asked him about it in the beginning of April (!) he got pissed that I keep reminding him and told me he will not do it at all so I did mine myself. I filed as married filing separate and put him as a head of household but I don't know if that counts because I don't know if he filed his returns at all. I do know we have to get a divorce. But I really need to see if I might be able to stay in the US under the circumstances or not so I can plan accordingly.
