Have anyone receive "Welcome Letter" and Permanent Resident Card (Green card)? My kid entered US since May 3rd 2017 and nothing received.  Check egov.uscis.gov and said 120 days after entry into US.
 

Green card paid mid-April 2017.

I guess without Green Card, my 20yrs old child cannot apply for anything yet huh like bank account?

Umm, that is not correct. Stamped/activated immigrant visa in his passport is enough to get social security number, sign up for selective service (probably already signed up by the government-check), open a bank account, get a job, enroll in school, get a Driver's license...

Ok, yes already had SS#. Thank you for the info.  I thought until they get Green card, then they can apply for bank account.
