I have a friend who went the married and CR-1 route, they filed a few months before me and just got NOA2 without any requests for additional info, while I'm already at the NVC.

And they will still have their green card before you and it cost him $1000 less.  What is your point?

Check this out peeps.  I reckon this is what's causing the NVC delays.  Maybe things will pick up when this "USPS mail error" is fixed?  That could bring some hope to people.

Just so you know, this has nothing to do with processing on the USCIS level.  This pertains to DACA renewal applicants whose applications didn't arrive to the lockbox on time due to USPS error (lost in the mail, etc.)  They were denied a DACA renewal due to no fault of their own, and now they're allowing people to re-submit.  Nothing to do with K-1s (or any other visas/immigration benefits) at all.

What date are they on as of today? They are just making this wait worse day by day😖

According to the "Processing Times" link on VJ here, they're on June 29th. Generally that estimate has been pretty accurate within a margin of 1-2 days.

Aww darn the luck. I thought there might have been a widespread USPS error which caused delays for all sorts of mail. Perhaps it was limited to DACA applications. Aw well. Guess there is not much hope for NVC times to pick back up.

Just a handful of cases were affected.  You can read about it in a New York Times story here.

Hi guys. Times are tense. I know there are still lots of cases before July that haven't been touched, but I think it's nice that we're still excited to see movement this month. It's my birthday today. I was hoping I'd know if we were going to move forward at this point. I'm emotionally exhausted with USCIS.

However. Tomorrow is another day. Not gonna let the bastards get me down.

I concur. There’s no reason to be down. In a few months we get to be with our loves. Let’s be positive.
