Do you think you might be able to go ahead of your fiance? I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but if you're the American citizen, perhaps you could go first and set up with a job and apartment? I don't know if that's feasible for you, but it's something we considered doing since my FI won't be able to work anyway when he gets here and I'll need to support us financially.

This has to be reconsidered now that the process has slowed down so much.  It's going to be rough but there's really no choice now.  Thanks to USCIS for slowing things down so much that extreme measures have to be taken!!!  They could at least have the decency to tell us why this is happening.

Check this out peeps.  I reckon this is what's causing the NVC delays.  Maybe things will pick up when this "USPS mail error" is fixed?  That could bring some hope to people.

One thing that has helped me during this long process is to shift my focus... less on the process and more on my fiancee and me... i'm working hard to get rid of my man boobs before my fiancee comes... so THANK YOU USCIS ;)

I so relate to this... 💪😎

OMG yes - I so wish we had done this instead. Then my FI could work as soon as we got to the States. Now we'll have months of waiting for that after we arrive.

:(:(

The really sad part is that according to the FB CR-1 page, people are being approved in just 3 to 4 months. September filer has a December NOA2.

Whaaaaaaat this makes me so angry, I can't believe it! All we want with this visa is to get married! We only filled for the K1 visa because, despite being more expensive and not being able to work right away, I would be with my fiancé sooner. Now the spouse visa is quicker and I could've been with my fiance already had we done that? :angry:

Hello, a new July filer here. Has anyone look at the NOA2 approval rate by FI countries? It seems some countries are more slower than others, if that's true, that might explain why some early June cases still pending. I won't know why USCIS will do that. But if you have other thoughts, let me know too. We are waiting with you all.

The least they can do is give us a discount on the adjustment fee. It is offensive that they are charging us way more for a slower process. The reason people pay the $1000 more for the fiance visa is because it is quicker! Take that away and 90% of the people would of not applied for the Fiance Visa. This is a slap to the face to all the American Citizens going through this process. I for one am not staying quiet. I am sending letters to my Senator and Congressman. A letter to Trump, and letters to media sources. If we want to be heard we have to be loud. We are the government, so I highly urge everyone to be active.

If we want to ask a representative to help us get through this part quicker, who is it that we ask? Local, state, or federal representatives?

I just scanned 500 cases filled close to my WAC date (July 24th) and then filtered by form I-130, which is the CR-1 form and only saw 2 approvals in the middle of around 200 cases. I don't think they are all being approved that fast, feels like 2 out of 200 must be expedite cases. I suggest everyone does that too! I have an iphone and use the "Case Tracker" app.

Most likely expedited.  I believe June had 9 expedited approvals out of the 4300 petitions.  You can add the approved WAC# and get the history if you log into the Case Tracker app.

Many here are hoping that the process will speed up again like before when NO2s were being received at 110 days or less.. however, that is NOT going to happen...if anything, it will get even worse for the next 8 years...

You're assuming this is 100% political, which I'm not sure it is. Trump's invisible wall to immigration?

I did that from June to December, now the chin is coming back a bit.
