Hi guys,

Do I put my NOA1 as the date they put on the received notice? I put down that our NOA1 was July 11 (the date that I actually got the email), but they said they got it on July 6.

Thanks a bunch!

So I am a bit confused over this process... I’m awaiting the NOA2. Does that mean I’ve to wait for my fiancé to get the NOA2 and then he applies for the K1 Visa in Canada?   I got my receipt of NOA1 on July 17 of 2016.  And I’m super excited and can’t wait for this to happen for us.

Also, he came to visit for the New Years and got a new paper attached to his passport giving him stay until March of this year... but we both have work so he’s going back early.

Thank you,

Sarah

July 31st filer here. How many weeks is it taking lately to complete a month before going to the next one?

June 6 filer here.  It used to take about 10 days to complete any given day.  Now it is anyone's guess.  It sounds worse than it is.  It usually will be no more than 10 days once anyone with your date gets approval.  There are a lot of adjudicators and they are working on many days at a time.  That being said, I am at day 210 and according to USCIS, my petition has not been assigned yet.  There are approvals as late as June 30.  You may get approved before the 130 June 6th filers waiting!

What's a realistic timeline to completion (entry) for a late July (20-31) NOA1?

My lease ends March 1st and I'm trying to figure out if I should rough it for a week/two or if I should extend by a month+

February or March NOA2.  Then 6 weeks for USCIS to NVC.  Then a week or 2 for NVC to Embassy.  Not a quick process at all.

Not as much worrying (in this post at least) - as much as I am trying to hedge my bet on my lease.

So guessing by your post, it's best to go ahead and renew april?

If I were you, I would do month to month.  This is just so excruciatingly slow right now.  The 6 weeks from USCIS to NVC is new.  That used to only take a couple weeks.
