Bummer.

Oh, I agree. It's deceiving seeing updates to approved expedited cases.

Yippee!!!!
We should start seeing a few July filers approvals in just a couple of weeks...
I remember when my estimated date of approval was October 22nd... feels like that was a life time ago
...at least this awfully long delay bought me some time to take my frustrations into the gym and i shed a few pounds off and got somewhat leaner :)

There’s your silver lining. Patience is a virtue. In a few weeks we’ll be gleaming with NOA2 joy. Then this thread will be full of the “woe is me, where is my NVC number?” posts. :jest:

Hello everyone, I'm new to visa journey. I am also a July filer (July 5th). How are you able to tell that july filers should be getting their NOA2 in a few weeks?

There is a June filer's thread and they are posting everyday updates on scans, they've reached June 21st so we assume they'll be touching July cases soon!

There are other parts of the forums for this. Please keep hysteria out of here. It's hard enough for people worrying when we're following the system and trying to have faith. This doesn't help anyone and just adds more stress.

No hysteria .. lots of hard numbers analysis in this thread .. my post is about what drives those numbers.  It is best not to take an emotional approach (hope/stress/hysteria/faith). US citizens have recourse to action like writing their Senators and Representative.  If a case goes over 190+ days it's Congressional action time.

The community can influence the situation by STRONGLY advocating against amnesty.

More good news: there's already some RFEs sprinkled throughout July.  By the end of next week, if you're a July case and do not have a RFE .. I think you are good based on what I saw happen to June folks.

You're absolutely right...

You can't be blamed for whats happening  when you're just stating facts.. There's a war on legal immigration and it's about to get worse.

The wall is already being built.. not between Usa and mexico but around USCIS... we can have faith all we want but in the end facts are facts and we have to deal with reality...

right now I don't care how long it takes for me to get my NOA2... I just hope I get it and I won't have to start this process all over again ...

I would rather wait and see what happens with the next year than spread rumors about what they might do. You have stated that you have friends that work within USCIS. That is wonderful. I do not, however, prefer to get half cooked eggs about what might happen. I'll wait until I see it for myself.

With that being said, I have reached out to my congressmen and state representatives. Texas doesn't care too much about immigration. Shocking, I know.

I don't buy into the hype. I suggest others should do the same. Keep your head up, square your shoulders and just keep following the path. Worrying about every little thing isn't going to do you a damn bit of good.

I totally agree... After being here on VJ for more then 5 months reading al these theories possible, I realized that the best I can do is just trust the process... and when I say the process I don't mean the USCIS way of processing, but this journey from applying the K1 visa until I'm there with my fiancé... After 6 months, I don't know what to answer anymore to my friends and family, when they ask me when I'm leaving to the US... It feels like they don't believe we gonna make it...

The good thing is that this process has brought my fiancé and I much closer to each other... We are still managing to talk on the phone and/or FaceTime for at least 3 hours a day min... weekends goes up to 5-7 hours...

It's not easy but we all need to hang in there and trust the process!

and definitely do not trust the USCIS...

This was an expedited case. The update was that the document was mailed.

This is the end result of a couple of expedites. We talked about thus previously here and that was what we found out.

I'm an American. I'm not frustrated. This situation is normal and does not represent anything abnormal. I've never met an American who understands the slightest bit of the system.  At best they stare at you blankly or at worst sort pat you on the shoulder and say they "feel bad for you and all the 15 million illegal aliens."  Only immigrants (legal and illegal) and sponsors know the deal.  Luckily for me I have a million and one preparations to make.  I was a tad nervous about the RFEs even though I used an awesome service .. but details of RFEs have put my mind at ease (reports of obvious blunders, etc.)

My response came off as more intense than what I intended, sorry about that.  But still.. My point is what I meant.  Remember that just because something is important to us here does not mean that it should or can be important to every person that you meet.  Just as the laws surrounding agricultural growth and seed copyrights do not pertain to me, I do not care about them.. but this is my food and is something that farmers would consider very important, and something i "should" care about.

It's like what Einstein quoted:

"Everybody is a genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid"

Haha I like that quote.  I need to learn more about Einstein eventually.  My only real knowledge of him as a person comes from the book "The God Equation".  Really good book if you're into that kind of thing. Not directly about Einstein but he does make an "appearance" or two I guess you could call it.
